This place stinks. The parking garage has no sign about not making a sharp right turn in. Our rental was damaged severely by the guard railing. Then at checkout they said we couldn't leave the garage because our card didn't work at the self check in desk. My fault for not logging in and double checking my pending charges in front of the clerk. I let them run my card again so now I have 2 huge pending authorizations taking away from my available credit. I've called 3 times and no one at the front desk answers.
The elevator malfunctioned, forcing me to ascend and descend the daunting 10 flights of stairs with asthma. To exacerbate the situation, the elevator lobby was plagued by a musty and moldy odor due to leaking pipes, and the doors remained closed, trapping me in the unpleasant atmosphere. Despite my repeated requests to speak with the manager, my concerns went unheard. I had taken the initiative to write my name, room number, and phone number on a sticky note at the front desk, but it seemed like a futile effort. As a result, I spent a significant portion of my vacation relying on my inhaler to manage my asthma symptoms.
Easy to check in, room was great, no hot water in shower (but could have been human error), adjustbale bed, free coffee maker with all sorts of café drinks. You also get $10 off food or drink but I didn't find out until I left. Bummer.
34 years we have had such an amazing experience at the Yotel in Washington dc. The most amazing person behind the desk has been Makayla Cruz. In Los lava I was very stressed coming in from a long 14 hour drive from florida. She was fantastic she eased all of my nerves and made our reservation fantastic. She has blessed me with beautiful blessings. She would be the reason I would come back here..
Unfortunately severely let down by customer service. The forced resort fee would be fine. But nobody informed us that there was a $10 gift card for food or drink, in fact the only time the desk spoke to us was very rudely when we asked about checking in earlier and our pool cabana booking. The pool was horrendous, obviously most of the patrons are not staying in the hotel making the resort fee a bit of a farce. Then there was a fire alarm at 10pm ISH that was clearly triggered by someone smoking w33d in their room or something as they were outside front entrance. The lifts were out of order from this point. The fire truck took over an hour and arrived about 11pm even though the fire station is next door. I don't blame the hotel for this. But. There was no informing by the staff whatsoever, nothing, all the lifts were not working until morning. And we were on the 7th floor on a warm evening. Nothing from the staff whatsoever? Utterly bizarre customer service. The resort fee is a sham The customer service non existent and rude. The bathroom in the rooms are just disrespectful The air conditioner blows hot air if you select above 69f The pool is essentially used by non guests . I would highly recommend the other hotel in the area that has a pool .
The rooms are clean and a good size. The soundproofing between rooms is very poor; you can clearly hear your neighbors. There is a good swimming pool. There is a $35 daily fee that is not included in the base price. There is a $100 daily security deposit (which was refunded to my card within 24 hours of checkout).
