This place is a great all in one amusement park! Fun waterpark for Kids, Go carts are quick and a blast, the restaurant has good food with great service and the rooms are very nice!
We were looking for a more affordable option than the Dells as a family with three young children. We were very happy with the weekend we spent at Metropolis and I would recommend it to anyone else looking for an affordable mid-Winter getaway with young kids. The rooms were perfectly fine. The whole hotel looked recently renovated or just very well maintained. We were upgraded to the bunk room and the kids loved the bunk bed. The waterpark was great, especially for young children. I could see older kids getting bored after an afternoon there, but with two main slides, lazy river, and lily pads, our kids were fully entertained for three full afternoons. Overall I felt like the staff was also very good. Clearly well trained and eager to please. Twice when there was miss by a waiter or bartender, they gave us a discount or took the item off the bill. The lifeguards also took their job very seriously, which was comforting. You can tell this resort is managed by someone who's cares, and instills that in their people.
If I could give service 10 stars I would! The staff is top tier and so helpful. Carter in the arcade was absolutely fantastic and helped us out when my young niece was having a hard time in the arcade. I highly recommend this place if you have young kids and want to bring them to a friendly, clean, and safe place. All three kids had so much fun.
Still waiting for extra hooks, shelves and places for everyone's stuff in 2025 is frustrating. We had a party of 9 in the large 1-12 person hotel room, attached to a water park and arcade, and there was one bar in the bathroom for towels? Otherwise the room was a great size, clean and comfortable for all. We had fun in the water park and all went smoothly with check in/out and everything in-between.
