Metropolis Hotel Eau Claire

We were there for 7 days. Room was humid. Waterpark had strange hours/days that were closed/inconsistent hours. Kind of disappointed that they didn't have a pool or hot tub open generally, as there were many times my husband and I wanted to soak in the hot tub at the end of the day but couldn't because it was closed. Seems like a general amenity for a hotel stay. For how expensive this place was, no breakfast included (I realized that was the case after we booked so my fault). Just surprising in this day and age that a $60/night hotel still has breakfast included. Assume they want to push you to pay extra and fine at their diner. After a few days without our "don't disturb" hanger on and no housekeeping services completed, we had to ask the front desk everytime we wanted housekeeping. The first time they only made our beds and we had to specify moving forward to take the garbage out and give us new towels. That should be basic housekeeping: make the bed, take out the trash and give new towels??? For the cost, we won't be back. For a cheaper rate we could have free breakfast every morning, competent housekeeping and a hot tub/pool every day/night. Will be actively discouraging people from staying here as well; not worth your money.

Brought the kids on a quick trip thinking there would be things for them to do. NOPE! Everything was closed the entire time we stayed here. Not worth the money spent and not worth our drive. Will not come back again.

Awesome place to bring kids to swim and burn off a ton of energy. Nice Waterpark on one end and an arcade with indoor electric go-karts and a huge indoor trampoline park. We have been here multiple times and will continue coming.

Nice rooms, nice beds, jail pillows

Had a birthday party in one of the rooms next to the pool. Very hot in that room and they gave our pizzas to a different party.

I've only been here for a work conference, and it was a very nice meeting facility that we were able to work in. Highly recommend, and there's a lot to do around when you're done with business!
