The Health Collective

The Health Collective — formerly the Hartford Gay and Lesbian Health Collective, founded in 1983 — is Connecticut's largest LGBTQ+ health and community organization, based at 1841 Broad St in Hartford's South End. Over four decades it has grown from a volunteer HIV/AIDS response into a full-service center offering primary and gender-affirming care, sexual-health and PrEP services, mental-health support, and free community programming. The Collective also hosts long-running community events and youth programming, including the True Colors youth conference, and serves as a central hub and safe space for LGBTQ+ residents and visitors across the greater Hartford region.
