This place is just LAUGHABLY AWFUL!! Trust me its not worth the savings.... read on for a detailed saga... UPDATE: Its now 9pm. Cable is still out and we were just informed it will not be coming back during our stay. Maintenance JUST came by to check the TV as we weren't even able to change HDMI settings to stream via our own Fire Stick but apparently they've tied their cable into the HDMI settings so 🤦♀️🤷♀️but ya know what...that 6hr maintenance delay was totally worth it cause we now have access to the MAIN MENU SCREEN but (NEW ACHIEVEMENT!!!) WE can NOT do anything with it because well....the archaic, and Im beginning to suspect illegally set up cable!!!! Also...the wifi is still spotty at best so we still cant stream on our laptops. OH!! Also Also... we discovered they have a pool, its just covered cause ya know... why bother when there's so much else to do at this AMAZING location!!! UPDATE: It's now 415PM and HOORAY were in a room BUT comically neither the TV or internet wifi are functional... I mean I cant even run a basic google search for "Things to do in Little Rock" search!! Oh AND there's no ice machine or green space to walk our pups at this 'pet friendly' hotel. That being said, room is large & clean AND the new desk clerk we had upon our 3pm return has been professional. We just arrived at the hotel only to be told we could not checkin "Because we have vendors and its not 3". (Please note it was 130pm) When asked if we could get an early check in to drop off our dogs (dog friendly hotel being the ONE reason we choose LA Quinta) was rudely told "NO YOU CAN'T LEAVE DOGS UNATTENDED...EVER." When requesting clarification was again rudely brushed off, and coarsely told 'I dont know, I dont normally work here and I have vendors in so you can't check in. Check in is at 3. You cant stay here!" Again attempted to get clarification (concerned we were now going to have to find a last minute place to stay) and asked if there was anywhere we could take our dogs while we waited for check in. Front desk rep sighed heavily and threw her hands up, clearly exasperated with paying customers having the audacity to interrupt her day. At that point we left as we were very obviously not welcome. I went to the bathroom (which were all labeled as 'out of order' and was told 'Just use the first stall, the water has been turned off!'." I have now gotten off the phone with corporate who refused to allow me to register a complaint or speak with a manager. "Joyce" told me to simply wait until 2pm when she "had" to allow us to check in. I had to ask for her to call the hotel to clarify what was going on and if we were even going to be able to stay if the water was off and upon doing so the representative reported being 'unable to reach the hotel'. Joyce then flippantly told me 'They are probably just busy' and repeated the need to wait until 2pm to re-evaluate the situation at the hotel. I stated that this was an unacceptable answer as at the very least the corporate representative should be able to reach the facility or have an available report of maintenance issues at their locations. This is when I asked to speak to someone in management and was repeatedly told she didn't have access and that I could not leave a message for anyone to register a formal complaint. Needless to say we've been completely and efficiently unwelcomed at this location and no longer feel La Quinta or Wyndham are worthy of our business. Which is a real shame as we travel with our pets quite regularly and have; up until now, enjoyed our cost effective stays. Do better...
Wyndham just reopened this LaQuinta on the 17 of June. My stay was the 20th. I believe this ranked like Jurassic Park. Except the dinosaurs were not in the story. Check in computers were down so we're credit machine's all manual and handwritten like the 70's. I was informed that no continental breakfast was available even though it was available on the booking. Parking is an additional $24.00 with taxes and fees that was also not mentioned in the booking. I paid extra for a suite. This was not a suite compared to the 5 other Wyndham Hotels I stayed at. My city view was of the parking garage and a lower rooftop. Pool was not even open yet on the 20th of june. The key card gave me a fit opening later that night. The room was musky with a hint of fabreeze style help. The A/C had trouble lowering the room below 75'. The bathroom had a small bar of soap. To share from shower to sink. Shampoo was enough for one even though I had 2 on my reservation. The shower head was broken and water hit the walls and curtain more than it hit the occupant. The Wifi worked good and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and kept me from cancelling and finding a different Hotel.
Nice clean and spacious rooms
I haven't stayed in a worse motel since I was working in construction and at least those rooms were cheap. There is no pool, no matter what the website says. Parking is $11, even though the website says Free Parking. The hallway when we got off the elevator smelled like cat piss. The room furniture looked straight out of a thrift store. If you have another option, keep driving.
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Downtown Conference Center provided a convenient and comfortable stay with friendly customer service and a great downtown location. The hotel had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived, and the staff members were professional, attentive, and helpful throughout the visit. The room was spacious, clean, and practical, with comfortable bedding and useful amenities that made the stay relaxing and stress free. I especially appreciated the convenient access to downtown attractions, restaurants, and nearby conference venues. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of options each morning and added extra value to the experience. Everything throughout the property appeared organized and reasonably well maintained. This is definitely a solid option for travelers looking for affordable accommodations and convenient access to downtown Springfield attractions and events.
