OYO Hotel Olympia - Tumwater

Amazing, quiet, too much silent and confortable,

My only real complaint was that the windows have blinds on them not black out curtains. I was here for business, I work overnight and sleep days. It was very difficult to sleep as there was a lot of natural light in the room. THe blinds were minimal help. I think this is the first hotel I've been in that didn't have black out curtains. I'm here in Olympia again this week but staying elsewhere so I can sleep during the day.

We stayed at this hotel in June 2025 as a last-minute choice. At first glance, the building looked new and tidy, which gave us a good first impression. We booked a room with a kitchenette, but quickly noticed that the exhaust fan/stove wasn’t working. Unfortunately, things got much worse from there. It became clear that the room had not been properly cleaned at all. We found tissues under the bed, visible blood stains in the bathroom (including on the toilet and even the toilet paper), and to top it off - bed bugs!!! We arrived late at night and had no choice but to stay since no other hotels were available. I ended up covering myself from head to toe just to avoid being bitten bu bugs. It was an extremely uncomfortable and stressful experience, and we barely slept. We checked out first thing in the morning and requested a refund. What was most disappointing was the manager’s response-completely unapologetic and dismissive. There was no sense of concern or urgency, which made us feel like this might be a recurring issue rather than an isolated incident. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. Cleanliness and basic customer care were severely lacking. I strongly advise others to avoid this place - unless they’ve improved since then

Stayed here for a week with tons of issues. I have never had bedbugs before but, now have bites all over legs and arms. Mentioned to front desk and the manger treated me as though I’m a liar about my bites. Asked to move rooms to continue my stay and was refused with attitude by the manger. Horrible experience with nasty rooms. I paid full price and never asked for discounts, why would I lie about being bit?

Room was filthy, over night staff was rude to say the least. Other comments are not printable.

Good evening. Myself and my fiance were in town to visit family. I decided to stay at the wood springs suites in Lacey. It was a great deal. And I had never stayed there before. So upon arrival the front desk ladies were out of this world. They were great. When checking my reservation she informed me that the gentleman that booked the reservation put me in a ADA room with no refrigerator. So she would take off some money and make it 70.00 dollars. I got my keys and headed to room 217. When walking in. It was a mess by the pictures attached. The room was never cleaned. We even found the keys of the person before us on the dresser. So we took pictures and we were switched rooms to room 324. This room was great for the first hour. Until you could smell all the weed smoke. Don't get me wrong. Weed is legal in Washington state. But it's still smoking. So go outside. Im a cigarette smoker and would never smoke indoors. Then to make the situation even worse. I went to order some food and I have a 180.00 dollar pending charge on my credit card. So not 70.00 dollars and even with a deposit thats a quite a bit of money. So outside of the front desk ladies. This has turned into a complete disaster. So just be careful and beware staying here.

Staff was unhelpful. Booked two rooms for two nights on the phone. When we arrived I was told we had only booked one night, clarified we needed two for both nights, thought it was handled. Day two show up and they had only one room available. Person behind the counter didn’t care at all, said they were sold out and blamed the person I talked to on the phone. Seemed clean but smelled like smoke, bed had the thinnest comforter I’ve ever seen on it. Was going to stay the second night but when one party didn’t have a room we went elsewhere.

It's an okay place to stay for the money however when you go there be prepared they'll charge you twice sometimes for deposit and they tell you you can't get it back for 7 days. Two days later now they refunded one of the deposits but not the other one.

Horrible service they will just walk into your room for no reason even if you don’t ask for house keeping they have walked in on my wife while she was taking a shower it has happened on multiple occasions people are loud and smells like a public bathroom and one of the staff smokes weed while at work super unprofessional and the general manager puts on a front is very rude over the phone but in person will like you I stayed for a month and definitely not worth 5 Grand

Only gave a star because you have too. This place is a dump. Checked in they put us in a dirty room, wouldn't move us. Front desk worker didn't know their job. Avoid like the plaque.
