La Copine

Warning: It you want a beignet - order early! OMG - Wonderful! The special gnocchi was amazing and the roasted beets - I'm coming back for again. Had the rice pudding since they sold out of the beignets - and it was good too!

The food and ambiance are nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They add a unique flair to every dish and the servers are all very friendly.

Some of the most memorable meals I’ve ever eaten have been at La Copine. Everything from the food to the staff, service and the atmosphere they’ve created is truly on point. I don’t know how they’re able to achieve such depth of flavor from such simple ingredients (get the eggplant) but they do it so well. What a gem to have in the high desert! I will be planning another trip across the country in the near future to add to my collection of “perfect meal” experiences I’ve had at La Copine, I’m wowed every time!

Obsessed! I have been a few times and it never disappoints! The whole vibe is amazing! The team works seamlessly! I recently was lucky to Snag their new COOKBOOK while they were touring the east coast. WHICH I LITERALLY HAVENT STOP READING! If you are in the Area make a reservation! It not only has incredible food but its makes for some good people watching! Palm Springs & Joshua Tree are very close by so worth it ! LouisR

Claire, Nikki and their attentive and talented staff really have created an oasis in the desert. I feel so fortunate that it is down the road, but worth the drive for anyone who wants to experience the hi-desert and get a fantastic meal. It was Angelo’s favorite spot, rest in peace dad.

Staff, food, ownership all the BEST in the desert! You can tell this is a special place, from the sense of community you feel from the second you park!! A MILLION STARS!!!

The only bummer about this place is that I live part of the year on the opposite coast! I dream of this food and La Copine is always the first stop when I head back to my desert home.

Edited: I've gone back to La Copine several times since my first experience and all of my thoughts and feelings towards the food, the staff and the environment have only positively compounded. The front of house staff is hard working, witty, stylish and considerate and the owner made sure to check in on us. The menu has been different each time I've gone but my compliments to the Chef - they seem to always maintain a few classics (even if those rotate) mixed in with new and innovative dishes. It's fine to order your own dish but my favorite method of eating at La Copine is ordering several dishes and eating family style. And never skip dessert. Why would you? The pannacotta is always on point and the beignets are delicious. One thing I've noticed is that much of the staff remains the same each time I've gone over the past few years. The restaurant industry is famous for having a high turn over rate for staff. I've witnessed the owners interacting with their staff and it's clear how well this restaurant is run and how kindly the staff is supported by the owners. I asked our server how long she had worked there and she smiled as she announced it has been over three years and she loves her job. That's a testament to a well run business. While waiting for the restroom I peaked around the corner into the kitchen. Despite every table inside and outside being full and the energy running high in the establishment, it was the cleanest kitchen I've ever seen with every person seeming to dance around one another. I've been to a lot of restaurants where the polished front doesn't match the dingy back. This was the opposite. The kitchen appeared impeccably clean and the staff again looked like part of a well oiled machine rather than a chaotic mess. Well done La Copine! The menu changes seasonally and is always interesting and delicious with well balanced options. The staff is friendly and sweet. Dogs welcome on the patio.

BEST RESTAURANT EVER!! The food is absolutely out of this world, you can tell every dish is made with so much thought & intention. Also, the owners & staff are the loviest humans ive ever met. My husband and I find any excuse to go here for a meal <3

Service was fantastic and the dessert we shared was lovely. Unfortunately, all other dishes we shared were so salty we were not able to enjoy them. If you enjoy your food very heavily seasoned you will probably love everything here.

This place is a true gem in the middle of the desert. I had the gazpacho and le burger and let me tell you they were the best I’ve ever had. I can’t begin to describe the burger, but I’m 50 years old and have not had one as good in that entire time. This is a must-visit restaurant.

Excellent cuisine! Book ahead because it is so well known. They take reservations over the phone by text and a month ahead. We'll worth the drive.
