The House of Mandi

​Excellent Indian cuisine right in Downtown Kigali! We’ve always experienced great service here, though today was a bit slower than usual, likely because of a big event. The only downside is the bathroom setup: it’s located in the neighboring parking garage and with only one toilet, it's a bit too small for a restaurant this size. Otherwise, the food is really good and highly recommended!

They have a great variety if you enjoy Indian/Pakistani/Arab cuisine. The restaurant is also situated with lovely outdoor views and greenery in the decor which makes it a slightly aesthetic yet chill spot to host friends for dinner. Most portions were quite large and the food tasty. I did have an incident with making an order for a Chicken dish and they instead brought a mutton dish. They were genuinely apologetic but they offered to replace the Chicken dish.

Food was very tasty! I just wish they had a regular bathroom. It’s located in the parking lot. It has one stall and urinals. I was waiting for a very long time to use it. It was a bit of uncomfortable experience. Because of that it’s a great place to eat and leave. But if planning to enjoy dinner, I don’t know if it’d be the choice for me because of the bathroom. But food and service itself were good! I will come back.

Dining at House of Mandi Kigali was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The goat mandi was absolutely delicious—rich, aromatic, and full of flavor. The meat was incredibly tender, falling off the bone with ease, and perfectly cooked. The rice was just as impressive, infused with warm spices that made every bite comforting and satisfying. Portion sizes were very generous—definitely a huge serving that leaves you fully satisfied. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out in good time. Overall, it’s excellent value for money, especially considering the quality and quantity of food you get. If you’re craving proper mandi in Kigali, this place really delivers.
