The girls in reception are so kind with helping with directions. The lobby and courtyard are gorgeous. Hope to stay there next time we need accomodation in the area. Great customer service girls. 😊

We suspect the Adina rooms are well overdue for an overhaul. The location is excellent, with plenty of great places to eat nearby, and the onsite parking is reasonably priced and convenient. The staff were also genuinely friendly without overdoing it. We booked a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment which was spotlessly clean and included a laundry. Not something we needed, but definitely nice to have. So, what’s the issue? The whole place feels like a bit of a time warp back to the early 2000s. The kitchen is functional enough, but very dated. Even the tap over the sink needed quite a bit of finessing and convincing before it would properly turn off. The TV is also well behind modern expectations ... small, old, no built-in apps, and no ability to install them. You’re basically limited to free-to-air channels only. Even ABC iView or SBS On Demand weren’t an option, so we ended up watching those on a laptop instead. Watching TV from the lounge was hard work too. The furniture feels tired and uncomfortable, and the layout was brutal on the lower back and neck. We actually rearranged the furniture ourselves just to make the space usable, probably not something guests should need to do. And then there’s the “two bathrooms” situation. The shower heads are well past their use-by date (once you manage to get one to stay upright), and the main bathroom still has a shower-over-bath setup complete with one of those old rubber non-slip mats you place in the tub before showering. Best not to think too hard about how long that mat has been there. Then comes the highlight: two bathrooms… one hairdryer. Yes, seriously. Overall, the apartments feel very tired, and hopefully an upgrade is on the horizon. Would we stay again? Probably — mainly because the location and parking are genuinely hard to fault.

Location is great, staff were good, lobby was nice. Corridors and rooms are quite dated and looking a little worse for wear. Housekeeping was fine, it just needs a bit of an update all over.

I stayed at Adina for three nights with family, and the experience was excellent. The hotel staff were consistently professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. Good location for public transport and locations around Sydney. Serviceable rooms and close to food etc.

Rooms are very spacious. In a great location on Crown Street.

Loved our 1x bedroom apartment that had everything away from home. Kitchen, laundry space with clothes washing machine & dryer, outdoor area with ample space. Close walk to cafes, pubs & walk 9mins down to Central station & walk 10mins down to Haymarket. Staff was lovely & accommodating.

We stayed here a week ago for two nights. The location is fantastic - close to restaurants, shops and bus. The room was good - didn't find that the air con worked very well in the bedroom, but living room was fine. It was pretty quiet but you can hear traffic and especially motorcycles. The pool was good, didn't use the gym. I swear I looked at the price for parking (mind you that was December) and it was $30. Was shocked when we arrived and it was $50/day. I know parking is a premium but the most we paid anywhere else was $15 (most places didn't charge for parking). Would recommend to lighten up the hallway/door paint and/or carpet or maybe add extra lighting - it is super dark and looks dated and dingy.

As another guest said "almost perfect." Everything was clean and smelled fresh. Although compact, it had an open spacious feel. We appreciated the air conditioning units in both the living area and bedroom. The kitchen was small but nice and an unexpected find was the clothes washer and dryer inside the room. Our view was on the back side of the hotel and wasn't so great. Also, I could have wished for a walk-in shower rather than a tub with shower handle.

We enjoyed our stay there but found the hallways a bit dated. The a/c units were temperamental but overall it was a nice stay with great staff!!

Great location close to CBD public transport and wonderful eateries.Rooms are spacious very clean and had everything i required for my stay. Would definitely recommend Adina Surrey Hills to friends and colleagues visiting Sydney
