Room is good. Staff can communicate in english but I cut from 4 to 3 star due to I found one staff smoke INSIDE hotel around lobby area.

The actual Chinese name of this hotel is Dongshe Boutique Hotel 东舍精品酒店, so this is how you put it on google maps to find the true location (and not walk around in circles like we did trying to find the location provided by the English name 😅) Very good location, near the bell and drum tower! Afternoon tea and cold evening soup provided, very good selection of breakfast, decent gym and free laundry service. Very friendly staff!

Super hotel with a very spacious room and a delicious, extensive breakfast.

"An exceptional stay in Xi'an! Eastern House is in a fantastic location—close to all the action and crowds but remains a peaceful retreat. The hotel and rooms are incredibly clean and offer great value. However, the true highlight was the reception staff. They were incredibly helpful and patient, going out of their way to help me track down and organize my online shopping packages. I highly appreciate their effort and kindness. This level of service is rare and made my trip so much easier!"

I would not return to Eastern House Hotel for one reason only - their rooms can be unbearably warm and stuffy in the cooler months after the central air conditioning is switched off and the central heating kicks in. Once this happens, the heating is pre- set and you cannot adjust the room temperature. Turning it off does not make the room cooler. The two small windows can be opened only slightly (for safety reasons) which offers little relief and lets in the street traffic noise. Either way, we were not able to sleep well for our entire stay. We tried to get assistance from hotel reception staff but there was not much they could do to help. We only managed to find relief after moving to another hotel. It's a shame given that if not for this, it would have been a perfect stay. The hotel has a good central location, a nice fine dining restaurant, highly recommended room service, is well designed with amenities, comfortable beds, layout and furniture. However the discomfort we endured due to our unbearably hot and stuffy room simply ruined the stay for us.

This is where we stayed for 4 nights during our couples' trip to Xi'an. Located in the Old City, it was great for going out at night to eat and look around, and the room condition was absolutely fantastic! A place I want to visit again~^^ The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes and was delicious.

You should definitely try the restaurant.
