We had a wonderful stay at The Lalit Great Eastern Kolkata. Stepping in from the bustle of the city into the hotel's quiet, calm atmosphere felt like a real escape. The heritage building has so much character, and it was a peaceful place to come back to after long days out. The location is excellent too, close to Esplanade, Kalighat temple, College Street and Park Street, with many of Kolkata's key sights and shopping areas an easy ride away. The staff made our stay even better. Ms. Vaishnavi at the front desk got us checked in quickly, and she arranged two rooms close to each other, which was perfect for us. Mr. Tanmoy was equally helpful. He went out of his way to make sure our Flipkart orders reached us at the hotel, which saved us a lot of worry. Overall, the staff were courteous, warm and genuinely attentive, and the friendly manner made us feel looked after throughout. Thank you for the same 🙏 The breakfast buffet was another highlight. There was a great spread, from Indian favourites to continental options, all fresh and nicely presented, and it was a lovely way to start each day before heading out. Overall, The Lalit Great Eastern offers a rare mix of heritage charm, a great location, calm surroundings and warm hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return on our next visit to Kolkata!
