Centro LGBT da Mongólia

The LGBT Centre is Mongolia's main LGBTQ+ organisation, founded in 2007 and formally registered in 2009 after a long fight with the authorities over its name. It has been the engine of nearly every visible advance since: the hate-crime provisions in the 2017 Criminal Code, the 2022 Labor Code protections, and the annual Equality and Pride Days festival it has run since 2014. For travellers, the Centre is the best single point of contact with the community. Its office in Sukhbaatar district hosts workshops, film nights and social events, and its social media is where Pride dates and queer happenings in Ulaanbaatar are announced first. Equality and Pride Days takes place in late August to early September, with a march near Sukhbaatar Square, panel events, art shows and a closing party.
