Hotel Praia El Nido

We stayed on the second floor next to the town square, unfortunately the music from there won’t stop until 3AM. Hope the hotel will replace the window soon. The staff is nice. Btw the beach in front isn’t really suitable for swimming, better visit Vanilla beach or Nacpan beach.

Hi. Cons: The rooms are on the beachfront, with a beach where swimming is prohibited (there's a sewer drain and a lot of boats are always packed). To swim, you have to travel to Los Cabanas or other more distant beaches. Breakfasts are meager; the only edible thing is scrambled eggs or an omelet, which are cooked in front of you. The rooms here are not three-star, but 0-star – the shower leaks, the room looks like it's never been cleaned (we always wore street slippers), there's no hairdryer, etc. When we decided to sit and chat and drink some local beer in the evening, we were told that after 10 PM it's forbidden and we had to stay or go to our room. Pros: affordable accommodation, proximity to the water, a port with hundreds of excursions to the islands every morning, and street food (although it's also so-so). I don't recommend this hotel or the place itself.

Upon arrival, we were greeted kindly by the receptionist. After checking in, we went to our room, but as soon as we opened the door, we were met with a very unpleasant smell. We returned to the reception to report this. The attitude there became noticeably less friendly. Someone from the technical staff was sent to the room, sprayed some air freshener, and then left. Apparently, that was considered the solution. The bathroom was also in poor condition and clearly not properly cleaned. There was black mold present, which we found completely unacceptable. We actually wanted to leave, but there was no alternative accommodation available. To avoid further confrontation, we decided to stay. During the last few days, my travel companion developed red bumps on her body. After checking the bed, we noticed that the pillows and mattress were very dirty. A visit to the doctor confirmed that the bites were caused by bed bugs. With ointment, the situation has improved, but this should never have happened. We understand that this is not a five-star hotel, but at the very least, you expect a room to be clean and hygienic. We strongly advise against booking this hotel, especially if you care about your health and hygiene.

I would give the room 4 stars but during my stay their the ceiling was leaking. Service was good, staff was nice. Location is good, i had a view of the beach. The only thing is that if you have a car they don't have a parking space so you have to go a pay parking to park your car. If you have a motorcycle then they have a small space where you can park it.

The hotel placed us in a room with ongoing construction for days and we were never informed or offered to be placed in a different room away from the construction. We were in the room right under the construction activity. Everyday we were woken up early in the morning with loud nail banging and all different construction noises. The staff are really nice and the location is perfect. But placing paying customers in a room that has that much noise that early in the morning is unacceptable. If the hotel knew there will be construction going on, they should keep that room unoccupied until the construction is finished because is that not fair for the paying customer.

Good and bad stuff. Overall I recommend this hotel.

Can’t beat this view; so beautiful!!!

Poor services when We came their with my Boyfriend. Got sick because of the molds and its like the staff dont know what theyre doing and not really educated enough for this kind of business. Dont book this. It looks good on picture but this hotel must be dont and should be reported as they failed to comply with Section 14 of PD 856 (Sanitation) and Article 1170 of the Civil Code (Contractual Obligations). they risk their consumers health by not abiding bylaws. This business must be taken down. I repeat must be TAKEN DOWN!!! They offer as a compensation trip going to el nido airport and had us transfer to a different room but the issue here we already been so sick before we could find out there is a mold. So if the 1 room has mold so its every room so it must taken down.

Don’t focus on the low reviews here. We stayed on the 3rd floor street view for 5 days and the room we got is very clean and tidy and smells like an actual hotel, the AC was really nice and cold, washrooms is clean plus they have bidet. It was a decent place in the heart of el nido. Thanks to the staff who were really welcoming and very accommodating from breakfast to the receptionist. Also, Upon checking out the security notified us about a stuff that we forgot in our room. So overall we were very happy on our stay here. I recommend

Great hotel and great view from the breakfast lounge. Literally just 3 steps from the beach where the tours depart. Room was already freezing cold for us and staff are very kind and friendly.
