Everything is fine, except the room air conditioner is set to 19 degrees but it keeps staying at 26 degrees, making it too hot to sleep.

Yes, it's a pub/bar style, the kind of place where you can relax and have a touch of exotic mystery at midnight, with the service counter tucked away in a corner. The lounge on the second floor also has that slightly tipsy, psychedelic feel. There's an elevator to the seventh floor for backpackers, and three shared bathrooms are outside the rooms.

It's a very comfortable hotel, I would like to come again.

I won't comment on the facilities outside the room... Pros: Separate rooms for single and male guests, not mixed-gender. The bed is comfortable (I guess). Cons: There's a large gap between the bed and the wall (things can fall through). Two bunk beds share a single metal ladder, and the curtain above cannot be used for leverage. If you're unlucky enough to be assigned to the upper bunk, just getting to your bed is extremely difficult. The upper bunk is high and not spacious, so putting all your luggage on the bed isn't feasible, meaning you'll have to use that difficult metal ladder the whole time...

Before checking in, I read reviews saying the cleanliness was a bit scary 😱, which made me a little apprehensive. But after checking in, I found it to be fine. The bed was very comfortable (the pillows were a bit soft, but that's a matter of personal preference). The visible areas of the bed were fairly clean, although there was a thick layer of dust behind the headboard when I opened it. I'd suggest cleaning it once a week. As for the sleeping area, it was really okay; there wasn't any visibly dirty dirt. Considering the price was good and it was just for one night, it really didn't matter. If you're really concerned, you can book a larger hotel that costs an extra ten percent; those should be spotless! But even in those larger hotels, there can sometimes be a lot of dust under the bed, so it's really a matter of personal preference! This place is also quite safe for single women. The entire seventh floor is women-only, and the emergency exits can't be accessed from the sixth floor (you can only exit from the seventh floor by pushing the door open) unless you have a room key card for the elevator. So the security is quite good. The shopping district is right downstairs, with plenty of places to eat, shop, and do things, which is really convenient 👍

I stayed on the female floor - bathroom wasn’t clean, lots of black mould. One of the showers was out of service. I was concerned about breathing in the mould while showering. Floor corridor also unclean. See photos. Bedrooms weren’t properly lit, soundproofed (or ventilated), which meant other people in the dorm unintentionally made really loud noises through the night when they came in at all hours. Aircon was loud. The headboard part of the bed was against the only window which means street noises might keep you up, & it blocked any natural light coming into the room. I think it was expensive for what you get (around $750 on agoda); and also, I was travelling with some guys who stayed in the mixed dorm who paid much less than me, which isn’t okay to have to pay extra to feel safe as a woman. Additionally, in the rooms, it would be good if there were hooks or somewhere to put drying towels, and the area by the charging ports would be better if they were shelves rather than material pockets as mine were clearly soiled so I didn’t use them. Otherwise, it was a okay location (near a night market), and the hostel receptionist was pleasant/nice to deal with.
