Just sat near this place and seen the manage go up to a stall holder near his extra lobby start complaining about then taking space up outside. This stall holder sells local food that’s great and cheap. He is friendly. The manager was rude talking to the stall holder like he was a no body. This is wrong what a angry little man.
This Hotel are running a scam were they put you in another building and the conditions are discraceful, They refuse to provide any refund even though we didn't stay. Like all the previous guests who have been scammed I booked a room here in advance. Big mistake when I arrived they implied I should pay again. I was taken though a dirty alley swarming with rats to another building. The dark dirty building and a room where the door looked like it had been broken in to, as wood was damaged and missing. There lock didn't work, and the safety deposit box wasn't working, there was no air conditioning and it was 35 degrees, and no shower! There was simply a hose and no drain. It was dirty with old socks and cigarette butts lying around, with mold all around the bed and on the ceiling. The bed smelt like sick and body odour and I opened the wardrobe which smelt of urine. There was a small refrigerator which was covered in mold as well as in the bathroom. I was told I would get a refund but the owner, who just sits laughing at everyone being scammed, has now refused to refund anything, due to a policy on their booking website. This place needs reporting to the authorities in Thailand as it is giving the place a bad name, I have contacted the local Mayor about this place. I was totally scammed here, the hotel scam is well known in Thailand along with Jet Ski scam, if you have any sense stay clear of this place.
Book a room here in advance. Bad mistake when I arrived the hotel clerk asked me to pay again. I was brought up to my room and the key which was provided did not work very well. I couldn’t draw the curtains closed easily. There was no door handle on the main door. There was no showerhead simply a bidet tap. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired with mold and in around the refrigerator has as well as in the bathroom. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired with mold and in around the refrigerator has as well as in the bathroom Was told I would get a refund when I canceled and submitted my key but was not given anything due to a policy on booking website despite verbal confirmation that I would receive the entire amount. Stay clear of this place it’s not up to a livable standard as far as I’m concerned.
I book their premium appartment it's not luxurious as published at their pictures at all it's needed urgent renovation, the bathroom is poorly designed.the TV reception is bad and the freidge is lousy. The corridors are dark and can be very dangerous at night.the restaurant downstairs seen better days in the past it was lively and full and it was fun to sit at nights looking at people passed by in my visit is was deserted maybe because this area paradise complex is declyning.
In Thailand, you will always need to "forgive" a few things that you would freak out over in Canada or the USA. If you're looking for very affordable lodging in the middle of all things gay, then The Connect Guest House/hotel fits the bill. No doubt, the place needs sprucing up. I found that housekeeping did a good job everyday and my room was clean. Beds were fine. The bathroom was one of those things I really needed to "forgive" though... I think the staff tried to do as much as they could with what was available to them. I am familiar with the area and expected a lot of street noise. However, I stayed in the Annex part of the Hotel and barely heard anything at all. I think recently the MyWay and Zag bars have limited their noise to only about 30 minutes from 11 to 11:30 pm. It's tamed down a lot since my last visit. I don't know that I would necessarily go out of my way to stay there again - but it was fine for what it is as long as you're willing to be a little forgiving.
Really in poor condition now. Was a great place a few years back. Cheap and cheerful in those days with good food, cold beer and nice company. . Rundown and depressing now. However the staff were great. Friendly happy accommodating - hence the second star
The Guesthouse is surrounded by gay bars and music is so loud till 4-5 am. Rooms are very old and need renovation Moreover they don’t have lift and stairs are pathetic. You can find other better places on same budget. Only positive point is the staff is polite and friendly.
This is an hotel that you only stay if you party 24 hours. There was loud music until 04.00 am and then they started some work on the street 8.00 am. There were no restaurant left since last time I spent time there. The cleaner was a stoneface. It was very worn out!
I have stayed here a number of times and it was very good. However the Swedish guys who owned it have left and the place is slowly going downhill. Still reasonable priced but needs a lot of sprucing up. One of the benefits was its location in the middle of the gay area. Unfortunately this area is slowly dying the outdoor bars in the next ally have all gone to make way for more market stalls. Also a lot of the old bars have disappeared as well it only gets lively for a short time after about 10pm at night the rest of the time is fairly deserted. The hotel no longer does breakfast but there are places very close to cover this. Personally there is no reason to stay in this area of Patong any more which is why business has drooped off and little maintenance being done. Still ok for the price if you want to stay in this area.
I will start by saying that the owner was very apologetic when we explained that our linens had what looked like urine and old blood stains on the sheets. He had no problem refunding us for our prepaid nights and the one night we had stayed. But overall, the place was not clean so I have to be honest here. It is overpriced for what it is.
