Chiel is a machine! He deserves the world

We didn't have a full meal there, but we had some drinks, with a bitterball. Very welcoming, clean toilets, and a spacious changing area for babies.

UPDATE [7/8 '26]: Raised to three star after response from restaurant. Everything went smoothly until we realised that our food was taking quite a long time to arrive. It turned out it was not even cooking. We had waited almost an hour for our food, without anyone aware of us. We went over to the bar and asked about the food and they said "it's ready, it's coming", but still it took 10 more minutes? The steak we ordered had been cooking a long time, was not medium, it seemed to have been cooked "very well done" would be the nicest way to put it, however the rest of the food was delicious. The ghentian stew was fantastic. We were offered a coffee as compensation and apology for the mishap. We didn't get the starter we ordered but we didn't have to pay for it once we mentioned it when we noticed it was still on the receipt. Overall a bad experience but it might've just been a series of mistakes. This appears to be a good demonstration of inattentive service bringing down the general enjoyment and consequently the rating of the experience.

Amazing food and atmosphere, cold drinks and cool waiters.

Nice place, options for many people. I want to eat gluten free and told the personnel explicitly. Unfortunately they still came with bread next to the soup.. but the cauliflower steak was tasty
