Great place, the host is very helpful and approachable. It's right in the center, but not on the main street, so it's quieter and more peaceful. And the terrace is amazing :)) The restaurant below is delicious and the service is brilliant :)

Hostess meet us on arrival and had agreed a later than normal check in. Give us good advice about places to eat including discount on restaurants downstairs. Room was what we expected. Old furniture mattress was sunken on one side. Room clean good air conditioning. Shower not easy to get in and out of in a small bathroom. Roof terrace lovely on an evening for a drink although no lights when we visited. Great location close to Pile gate with its buses and taxis.

The best point of this hotel might be the location. It takes less than five minutes from the PIle gate, just flat road. I arrived at the hotel a few hours before the normal cjeck-in time, but the people let me in without a problem. No lift for luggage, of course. I was surprised because the room was too smaller than I had thought. The bathroom was small also. you can't fully shut down the glass door of the shower booth, so the water would be sprinkled everywhere in the bathroom. The furniture is decades old. The WiFi here is really slow. It was almost impossible to post a few photos on my FB. The popular restaurant is just on the street in front of the hotel, so it can be somewhat noisy at night due to people's talk. I don't think this hotel is worth the price even though this is located in the wall. However, well, at least the bed was all right, and the air conditioner was ok. Plus, I could dry my laundry at the rooftop space of the hotel, and there I could drank a can of beer watching some parts of the castle wall. There is no reception here, but I could meet the landlady, and she was kind. Also, the people working at the restaurants always greeted me. Conclusion ; facility and price - no. location and people - yes.

The location is good, but the room is very small and uncomfortable. Above all, the housekeeping is poor, so caution is advised. After checking out, I posted an honest review on Expedia about the cleanliness, including hair on the floor and bed. Then, they suddenly refunded me $0.02 and deleted my review along with my reservation. Is this kind of behavior, where they unilaterally refund less than 1% of the accommodation cost and delete a negative review just because they didn't like the review, really polite to a traveler who came from far away to stay for two nights?

This place is such a scam. I don’t know how it has so many good reviews. While it is conveniently located in the middle of Old Town, that’s about where the positive part ends. Even though Hotels.com allowed me to book with a credit card, they demanded cash at arrival and say you have to give them your passport until you can get it. Keep in mind, there is no desk. This is a random women that you’ve just met. There is not one single mention of cash only. She put me on the phone with the owner and he is aware of the problem, but will not fix it. His response was “we can’t remember everything.” Second, there’s mold in the bathroom. I was sick the whole time I was there. Third, this is right above an extremely loud restaurant. The chef screams at his employs all night long. There are constant banging and breaking glass sounds. This place is terrible. I cannot believe they charge what they do. Do not take the chance, unless maybe you are used to hostel living. There are so many other better places to stay.

Complete scam and incredibly overpriced! We booked what was advertised as an apartment, but it turned out to be a tiny 9m² room. The bed was only 1.20m wide, far too small for two people, and was crammed against the wall, leaving no space for luggage. The bathroom was extremely small, and the room was on the third floor with no elevator, with no one available to help us with our bags. To make matters worse, the entrance to the room is through the kitchen of a restaurant. The reality is nothing like what they show on Google. There was no reception or any kind of service, yet we were charged the price of a 5-star hotel in Dubrovnik. An absolute disgrace and a total scam!
