Nightclub Mixei

Mixei is Tampere's gay nightclub and, by its own account, the oldest still-running one in Finland. It opened in January 1990 on Otavalankatu and moved in 2004 to Itsenäisyydenkatu 7-9, a few minutes east of the railway station. There's a quieter bar upstairs and a dance floor downstairs, and the crowd is the whole LGBTQ+ community plus friends. Wednesdays run 18:00 to midnight with karaoke, board games and free entry. Fridays and Saturdays run 21:00 to 04:00, with karaoke until the floor opens at 22:00. Entry is €6, or €4 with a student or Sinuiksi card, and free until 23:00. Themed parties can cost more, and it's strictly 18+. The club says the premises aren't step-free, and it closes 21–29 December 2026.
