Not too far from Tempere Station. The placement of the power outlets is all inconvenient. The toilet in the accommodation was broken, but they said it was difficult to replace it immediately. Since I was only staying for one night, I didn't mind, but it might be inconvenient for those staying for two nights or more.
This apple is already a bit rotten. Cheap price and location are pluses. The room was clean but the spare beds were a joke, even a single one would have been better.
I stayed for 3 nights in a room by myself on the 4th floor. The best things about this hotel are the affordable price, central location, and being able to get sleep and rest due to the peace and quiet fer. I was able to walk everywhere including city museums and attractions like Särkänniemi amusement park as well as a large choice of cafes, shops and restaurants. The code to get into the room worked well and the room was neat and tidy with all basic amenities needed. The only downsides which are minor, were that the bathroom was a bit small and tight, and the room and its long corridors to get there had no view making it feel a tiny bit claustrophobic. Also, a few of my travel companions in other rooms accidentally took the wrong emergency stairs out and got stuck in the stairwell and couldn't work out how to get out. These could have better signs and instructions.
Omena Hotel managed to provide an experience that felt more like a bureaucratic survival game than accommodation. Check-in was so self-service that I was already expecting to be given a mop and instructions on the order in which the hallways would be cleaned. Then came the legendary 20 euro early check-in surcharge. Of course, there was no link, even though the customer service representative promised it would be ‘within a minute’. The minute stretched to 20 minutes, and when I called again, the line was as dead as the hotel’s customer service motivation. I finally had to download the Omena app because why make things smooth when you can force the customer to jump through block tests designed by the app developer? One night’s accommodation ended up costing over 150 euros, which is an impressive sum considering that I got to sleep in a room that resembled an IKEA exhibition from which everything nice had been stolen. The room had everything necessary if necessary means four walls, a bed and a growing desire to sleep at a bus stop in the future. I hope now that Deep Purple can at least save this evening. If Ian Gillan plays Smoke on the Water so hard that the walls of Omena Hotel shake, maybe this experience will be reset. Thank you Omena, this experience taught me a lot. Most of all, that next time I would rather choose a dog kennel. At least the customer service there is on a better level.
It's right next to railway station and tram station. Very good place.
The "sofa beds" in the quadruple room were very uncomfortable. The bed has no mattress, but you have to build a mattress from the sofa cushions. You can feel the metal frame very badly under the thin "mattress". In addition, there is no pillow in the bed... The room was also very dirty. There were stains everywhere, even on the sheets. Although the price was low, I cannot recommend it.
