GZ Hostel Bonn

Honestly, this place doesn't even deserve one star. It's incredibly dirty, a veritable rat hole. Cockroaches come out at night and sit on tampon wrappers. The neighbors are loud and drunk. The bed linens were covered in urine stains. It's an absolute rat hole, there's nothing more to say. Never again! I strongly advise everyone against booking there.

I booked a room but they had no bed for my baby. Where is my baby bed?!?! 4 stars because the lady at the reception was very nice and kind and tried to take care of all the requests we had

Not suitable for children or clean people

My husband and I stayed there for a week. The time was pleasant; the ladies there are incredibly kind and helpful, and you can have a great chat with them. The room is very nice and simply furnished. The only problem was the shared bathroom, as my husband had to go to my house to shower because there's no shower head. Water does come out, but it takes some getting used to. Unfortunately, there's also mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, but you hardly notice it.

Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. Positive: The beds were well made. Check-in went very smoothly. The location is also quite good (next to the train station). Negative: One toilet/bathtub shared by several rooms. The toilet was very dirty/no toilet paper. In my opinion, the bathtub was unusable. It was partially moldy. We even had a hole in the window of our room. All in all, it's better to pay €10 more and book something significantly better.

This hotel doesn't even deserve one star. The rooms are filthy, and the toilets are completely unhygienic. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Only the location deserves four stars. As travelers passing through, we agreed to stay for €55 per person per night. We were lucky enough to find a room below the restaurant and share a bathroom with a woman. Otherwise, it's unacceptable.

Good times, bad times? Scratch the good times, because we definitely had bad times at the GZ Hostel in Bonn! Although the hostel's location right next to a train station initially seemed promising, we were immediately put off by the exterior appearance of your "establishment." There's probably a reason why there were no pictures of the exterior on your website #factoryvibe. Now, we're aware that it's usually what's inside that counts. But these were even more appalling. After checking in and being reminded several times not to smoke in the building, we went in search of our rooms. We found two rooms; the third could only be located after asking again. Furthermore, the smell of cannabis plants was immediately noticeable upon entering the building. Now, about the room: You don't seem to prioritize vacuuming, do you? The fluff we found was actually the size and color of mice. We were also worried that the beds might suddenly fall apart during the night. But nothing beats the bathroom: mold, a hole in the wall, a strong smell of urine, and a filthy floor are just some of the problems we encountered. All in all: it's doable, but definitely not recommended. It's okay for one or two nights, but after that, I would be seriously concerned about my health due to the severe mold infestation.
