Standard Double Room with Shower/WC One of the nicest rooms on our 22-day tour. Hotel Natur, a hotel since 1962 (formerly a farm), is sprawling on the old farmland. It invites you to take walks down to Eyjafjörður or up to the old silo to enjoy the sunset. We stayed in a room located in a new extension of the hotel. It was spacious and modernly furnished, including the bathroom. The hotel has a large, bright dining room where you can help yourself to coffee or tea at any time. In the evening, there is also a large, plentiful, and varied buffet with hot and cold dishes, from which you can help yourself to your heart's content. Very delicious. Breakfast was also very good. For us, a very pleasant stay, unfortunately only for an overnight stop. Visited in July 2025

Amazing! One of the most beautiful locations we stayed! Super cozy, have everything you need , great views , nice and quiet . The staff is super nice, super easy check in. Very recommended !

A very well-equipped hotel with very friendly staff. It has a small spa included in the price and a games room with billiards and dartboards, which are very useful if you're done for the day and it's early. I didn't give it 5 stars because the location is a bit far from Akureyri and the breakfast was a bit limited, but everything else was perfect.

Great hotel; the courtyard and parking lot are currently being renovated. We're here in the off-season, so unfortunately, only breakfast is served. The hotel is beautifully furnished, including a hot tub, pool table, darts, massage chair, and a former silo that has been converted into an observation tower. All in all, very nice.

A newly built hotel in a prime location overlooking the fjord on the outskirts of Akureyri. It's located in a large building with several facilities (a jacuzzi, a viewing tower, etc.) that we didn't have time to explore, given that we only stayed one night on our tour of the country. It's a good place to see the Northern Lights, due to the low light pollution. In fact, we went out to dinner in the city center and when we returned, we were told that some guests had seen one. We were disappointed with the breakfast. It wasn't bad, but it was the weakest of all the ones we had on our tour of Iceland. We were struck by the unpleasant smell (of sulfur) emanating from the water in all the hotel facilities (sink, shower, etc.). I imagine this is something that occurs throughout the area, but we haven't had this problem anywhere else in the country.

Best place for aurora, clean amenities, best breakfast, comfy place after touring the diamond circle

Another of the hotels we stayed at on our tour of this island, close to the road with good views of the fjord. We were lucky to be able to take photos of the rainbow and the surroundings after breakfast.
