One of the most enchanting places I have ever been. Similar to some small inns I’ve stayed in the Napa region, but far superior for me. Friendlier, more walkable, far more beautiful. This hotel combines the best elements of a B&B with a small hotel. Ideal place for a short getaway or layover. For us, this was a last minute addition to the itinerary so that we could be closer to the Bergamo airport than downtown Milan. We took the train from the Excelsior Hotel in Milan (by the Central train station). About an hour trip for about 20 euros each. Took a taxi from Bergamo train station to the hotel - 16 euros. Stayed in the Junior suite with private seating area. Great way to decompress for a day after the hustle and bustle of downtown Milan. Just a fabulous view. Don’t miss Restaurant Il Pianone. It’s a short, easy 10 min walk and the restaurant is amazing.
We had an amazing stay. The owners were so kind and welcoming. A fresh and tasty breakfast. Perfect location!
The hotel is situated in a pleasant, quiet, and green setting. The parking is a definite plus. The room is charming, spacious, very clean, and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and hills. The breakfast is delicious (especially the fresh fruit salad), very varied, and plentiful. The hosts are extremely charming and helpful. The entrance to Bergamo's upper town is a 20-minute walk away, and if you'd like to avoid this walk, the hotel offers a very quick and convenient shuttle service (as parking is difficult). I highly recommend this hotel, which is probably one of the best options for staying near the beautiful city of Bergamo.
