In the 20 years I've been visiting bars all over the world, this is the first time I've encountered an employee at the bathroom door with a card reader, charging for using a BASIC service. I don't know to what extent that's legal in Amsterdam, but if it is, it's awful that they use it to make a few extra euros. If they want to control access to the bathroom, I understand, but 2, 3, or 4 euros to pee, after already paying at least 7 euros plus the mandatory tips on a beer... It's outrageous.

Nicer than most clubs in Reguliersdwarsstraat, I didn't even know that.

Went for pride and they were very u prepared. The bartenders were grabbing ice with their hands and throwing them into cups. There was no space behind the bar for the bartenders to store the liquor bottles, so they were all on top of the bar. My drink was warm and overpriced. In the end I felt bad for the staff. The bar does not have an ice maker, proper bottle storage, or soda dispenser (all soda water comes from a bottle).

Where they stand for a safe gay environment, it seems it is simply possible here for people to be assaulted^^ I think that needs to be monitored; I actually escorted that person out myself with a security guard. And that on Pride itself, of all places!! The owner indicated that nothing could be done due to the crowds. So commercial interests take precedence over safety??... Let alone going outside and finding out that you have to shell out 25 euros for entry 😅😅

Average gay bar playing standard circuit music. Paying a €20 cover fee only to be charged an additional €1.50 to use the urinal is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the restrooms were filthy with litter scattered all over the floor.
