Stayokay Hostel Eindhoven

The most DISGUSTING place I even stayed at and had to pay for! I had a very disappointing stay here. The rooms were extremely dirty—wiping the floor with a wet wipe turned it black. The bathroom was poorly maintained, with very low water pressure, constant flooding, and a visibly dirty drain with hair from previous guests. The strong rubber smell during showers and water leaking everywhere made it even worse. We stayed four nights because moving wasn’t practical, but it was far from comfortable. While the bar staff were friendly and the beer was good, it’s overpriced for what you get. The location is also inconvenient, with limited nearby dining options during the day. For the price, there are much better options in Eindhoven offering far higher quality and cleanliness. Overall, not worth it. Room 205

Parking for the night cost €17.50. At the Amsterdam airport (Rai), I paid €6. The trains were noisy, and the room doors were awful... Breakfast was inadequate...

Great place for a short stay, clean rooms and toilets+ shower near so.many cool spots.. staff is so helpful and friendly. 10/10

Better StayAway from this Hostel. Booked a private 2-person room for 4 nights at €86 per night. From day one, the shower drain was completely blocked. After just 3 minutes of showering, the bathroom turned into a swimming pool — water even leaked out from the sides. On top of that, no shampoo was provided, even though their website clearly states it's included. Then there's the sleeping area. There are no power outlets near the bed, and the mattresses are very narrow. Expect to roll off the edges or end up wedged in the gaps between them. There's no air conditioning either, so avoid this place in summer unless you love sleepless nights. And with the train rails and bars on both sides of the hostel, you're never far from noise — even when you want some rest. There's no microwave, no fridge in the room, and you're not allowed to bring in food from outside — which conveniently forces you to eat at the Blue Collar Bar, where the menu is ridiculously expensive. When I raised these issues with staff, they told me I shouldn't expect anything more from a hostel. According to the staff, guests should simply be grateful to stay in a hostel at these "affordable" prices, given the neighborhood. I do not recommend this hostel to anyone.

Nice hostel, cool location, but a bit strange to promote sustainability everywhere (water usage, towels, etc.) while simultaneously leaving the heating on in the rooms themselves, especially since those rooms only contain the original windows (which couldn't be closed completely and were single-glazed). In terms of energy consumption, this is truly a gas guzzler... they could at least install a secondary window to prevent this and also improve the room's sound insulation....
