Saplinq (PRIZMA & PRIDE Košice)

Saplinq is the LGBTI+ civic association based in Košice. It was founded in 2012 and is the organiser of PRIDE Košice, which takes place each year in late August. It also runs PRIZMA, a counselling and community centre for LGBTI+ people with regular community meetings, and works on advocacy, trans rights and training. Its projects include building LGBTI+ groups in smaller towns in eastern Slovakia. For a visitor, PRIZMA is the way to meet local queer people outside Pride weekend. The public contact address is Slobody 30, 040 11 Košice (info@pridekosice.sk). Check saplinq.org for current meeting times before you go, and don't turn up unannounced.
