The2 Palma Gay Bar
Visitors praise The2 Palma for its friendly atmosphere, diverse crowd, and good vibe, with some highlighting spectacular drag shows and efficient bar staff. However, a common complaint is the DJ's music selection, which some find outdated or unrecognisable, and one reviewer found the public unfriendly and the music muffled.

Unfortunately, there wasn't a drag show the day we went. Despite it being a weekend during the May bank holiday weekend and already having a sizable international crowd, the DJ focused on outdated, traditional Spanish music. This is sadly typical of the LGBT scene in Spain. In Madrid, it might work because there's a huge local audience, but in Palma, there aren't enough local gay people to justify playing music exclusively for them. The crowd was cool, diverse, and queer—good-looking guys and fun tourists. But please, update DJ Drama. 🫶
We visited this club yesterday and honestly, the first impression was surprisingly great — there was an actual crowd, a real sense of community, and for a moment it felt like we had found a hidden gem. And then… the DJ took us on a time-travel journey no one asked for. After about 15 minutes, we realized we didn’t recognize a single song. It felt like the DJ was happily stuck in a 30-year-old Spanish playlist and refused to come back to the present. Even if you speak Spanish, the music just wasn’t giving what it needed to give — and for an international crowd, it was completely unrelatable. A bit of reggaeton or anything with an actual rhythm people can dance to would have gone a long way. We tried to politely ask for something a bit more current or at least more mixed, but got fully ignored. When we eventually decided to leave because it just wasn’t enjoyable anymore, we spoke to the bartenders and bouncers — and they actually agreed with us. Which makes it even more confusing… if everyone sees it, why is nothing changing? Most people were just standing around, and the few who were dancing looked like they were running purely on alcohol. To make matters worse, the sound quality didn’t help — the speakers were pretty rough, which made the whole experience even harder to enjoy. It’s a shame, because the people and the energy at the beginning showed real potential. But unless the DJ finds a way back to this decade (and maybe upgrades the speakers), the vibe just doesn’t last.
Juanmi is the best!!!! The best place for a great atmosphere!
