The Liver View Hotel

The hotel is quite nice and very cozy and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Both the young man and woman were very attentive and kind at all times; in that respect, it's 100% recommended. A full British breakfast is also included, which is quite good and freshly prepared by them. They are lovely people. Regarding the hotel's location, this is perhaps the only drawback, as it's on the other side of Liverpool (across the river), so you absolutely have to take some form of transport to get there. On the first day, the young man gave us cards to top up for unlimited travel on buses, the metro, and ferries (it cost us £6.40 per day), which we really appreciated, as it's the most practical and economical option if you're going to be using public transport several times. A regular bus and metro ticket costs £2, and a ferry ticket costs £3. To get to and from Liverpool city center, we recommend the following transport options: - Uber or taxi (this is the fastest option, but also the most expensive) Or, the options we used: - Bus line 433: catch it at the Wheatland Lane stop, which is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. This line takes you directly to Liverpool city center and takes approximately 30 minutes. - Bus line 411: catch it at the station next to the hotel (the ferry terminal station), at the Seacombe Ferry Terminal stop, and get off at the Hamilton Square stop, where you will transfer to Underground Line 3 towards James Street. At this same stop (there's only one, so it takes a couple of minutes), you'll be in Liverpool city center. - Ferry. We haven't used this option, but we were told it's very convenient during the week, although weekends are busy with tourist trips and can take longer than usual. To get to and from the airport: Uber or taxi, or the cheapest option, the bus. Lines 86A and 500 pick you up at the airport and drop you off in the city center (and vice versa). The journey takes between 40 and 50 minutes. Many thanks to the hosts for everything, their kindness and hospitality. It was a pleasure! :)

Stayed last night. Very clean, very comfortable, very safe. Had a glorious breakfast. Couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. Stay, enjoy, be comfortable, and park your car safely. A joy from start to finish

5 stars because it was very clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. The location isn't great. It's a very isolated area. It's fine to go by car and with someone. The hotel itself looks a bit scary from the outside; it needs maintenance. But it's close to the ferry, which you absolutely have to take to get to Liverpool city center. Anyway, I would have preferred to be on the other side of the river. It was my choice without knowing much about it.

This hotel was a gem. We have been all over Europe this year in over 30 hotels including Paris but this hotel was miles the best. The hotel has parking for about 10 cars and is a two storey building. Breakfast you can have basically anything within reason a typical breakfast is 2 sausage,bacon,eggs with beans and tomatoes also toast with jam of course there is tea and coffee. The rooms are great for sleeping in with a bathroom and a TV. Getting in to Liverpool is easy all you do is come out of the hotel turn left and walk up St Paul's Road at the end turn right up to the second set of lights on to Poulton Road turn left and the bus stop is there into Liverpool at a cost of £4 return. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Royal Albert docks. This is with a 10 minute walk down Dale street. I can highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be going back. The hotel is a project in operation but the hotel manager (Dave) and his staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them to solve.

Really nice place to stay. Dave the owner makes you feel very welcome. Room was clean and comfortable. A 2 minute walk to the Ferry across the Mersey. The breakfast Dave cooked was huge, I Had trouble finishing it. If you are thinking of staying in Liverpool, this is just across the river from the Liver Building. All the benefits of central Liverpool without the cost.

Don't be put off by the first outside impression . The hotel is clean, in an excellent position and offers a great breakfast. Yes the rooms are a bit small and not luxurious, but the price reflects that. The owners are lovely, helpful too. We really enjoyed our stay

Perfect location for the Belfast ferry. Amazing breakfast. 1st class manager, who was very helpful with everything. Easy to get to Liverpool on the ferry also. Only problem is that our room was noisy from the road and it was so hot, when we opened the window, the traffic was relentless. But the boss provided us with a fan for day 2 and it was fixed. Great place.

Two night stay for our anniversary. Quiet location, 2 minutes walk to ferry terminal, which was great. Room was spacious & clean, breakfast was lovely & the staff are very welcoming & friendly. Great weekend & would definitely stay again. Thank you 😊
