Broadfield Park Hotel

My Goodness Spider creates webs everywhere above beds, roofs windows and stuff cant see it, i look at the cleaners with Equipment, bunch of blind stuff, outdated old and dusty,no sleep at all. Avoid , wouldn't recommend to no body.

On arrival parked in car park which was very unkempt and dirty looking. Building very old and in need of a total face lift. Windows filthy entering building smelled stale and generally unclean. Small reception desk and 24 hour staff. Fridge behind reception with bottles of beer and soft drinks in. Given room on 1st floor, facing back of building, no lift carpet on staircase absolutely disgusting, old and worn. On arrival at room well where do I start, very heavy fire door that’s where the positives end, old lock still on inside of door and new lock key card controlled no cover over batteries. Wallpaper on walls not stuck down at seams. TV was literally hanging off the wall and very squint, terrified to touch it in case it fell off. Paintwork horrendous, bathroom window painted shut. Gaps in bathroom fittings where dust and dirt had settled next to bath and sink. Silver fish crawling over bathroom floor. Main room had 2 single beds bedding appeared ok but due to what we had already seen we didn’t look any closer, carpet on bedroom floor old and dirty at window end of room lumps of solid chewing gum ingrained into carpet. Would not recommend taking footwear off until your feet are off the floor. Carpet did not fit room leaving floor boards exposed at head of beds with carpet gripper and dirt showing. Breakfast was edible surprisingly but I probably wouldn’t have eaten it if I had seen where it was cooked, sometimes you just don’t need to know. Half the hotel was not in use, personally I think the whole place shouldn’t be in use. Would I return. Never. I gave 1 star because I managed to eat 1 Breakfast

Very good experience come for your room very warm and nice staff and very clean

The dilapidated room looked like a movie scene from the Bottom TV program. Firstly the very tired and literally held together with string approach was too much. The paint is mismatched in the room. The blinds dont cover the windows, the toilet area had en-grimed filth at the base. The shower rail was not attached to its own fixing and some terrible makeshift thing held it to the ceiling. Over the decades there are still bits of shower attachments spread around the wall not in use and on the theme of this screw holes scattered around the walls like bullet holes. Breakfast was a let down with a single sausage, bacon, egg no heat and not enjoyable... The inconsiderate guests were up at 12am- 5am holding court loudly on their phones, banging around on the doors and generally scaring my 7 year old child who didnt understand why people could be so loud. Reception were informed by phone but failed to address the concerns. Dont stay here if you want a to stay in or around rochdale with any sense of what standards are. Having returned back to normality in Norfolk we can honestly say that the pictures on their website are clearly from yesteryear and falsely make this hotel look charming on the tinternet.... The reviews of others are there to see and a continued theme of disappointing stays and stay away are true. A feedback response from the hotel said thankyou for the feedback; however retrospectively they don't action their failings, simply placate the customer

Hotel seems tk be in a transition fase would be a very nice bouquet hotel but rooms at the moment are very dated with all thr furniture all different the first room me and my wife was in the mattress was none existent but the second room we got moved to was on a high floor less noise and bed was excellent breakfast wasnt the best but available is all I can say staff here lovely and accommodating when needed

A really enjoyable visit to this hotel, the staff were friendly and , helpful and professional and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good too and the value for money is excellent.

Booked in went up to the room only stayed in the room a few minutes very strong smell of weed booked out More like a hostel than a hotel Plenty of parking spaces because there was only 1 car on a large car park

Nice hotel with decent parking and location, clear rooms and nice and warm.

Hotel is a beautiful building and has onsite parking, staff were very helpful and quickly dealt with our request to change rooms. Rooms are older styled and quite basic however you expect that from an old building and for the price it was good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
