The booking system was chaotic, and the staff were extremely rude. First, surprisingly, the hotel's booking system was incredibly outdated. If a single guest had multiple bookings for the same hotel, the system couldn't process them all, forcing the guest to check out and check in again the same morning. I'm unsure if this is a common problem in the Peruvian hotel industry, but here, the experience was terrible. Most frustrating was the communication style and politeness of the front desk staff. When guests asked questions again due to misunderstandings, they weren't met with patient explanations, but rather with obvious impatience. I consider my English to be quite good and I had no problem understanding, but I personally witnessed two British women even dragging their luggage out of their room to check in again, unable to understand even native English speakers. This proves that the root of the problem lies in the hotel's operational processes and the staff's communication style, not the guests' language barrier. Also, the male staff member on the night shift was incredibly rude. Any questions from guests seemed like an intrusion, and even if you made eye contact with him, he wouldn't greet you—he lacked even basic human decency. The rooms and bathrooms were extremely small. I was traveling alone with a front-opening suitcase, which already made moving around the room very inconvenient, let alone with two people and two suitcases – it was simply impossible to open the suitcases. Compared to the fluent English and polite hotel staff in Cusco, my stay here for a few days left me with a very poor impression of Lima and its people. And it wasn't just me; if you look at other people's reviews, you can see others complaining about the male staff member on the night shift. Thinking back on that experience, I still think he was incredibly rude and really awful.

Cramped rooms

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the EXCELLENT service and work of the restaurant staff during breakfast and dinner, including Jean Carlo, Rondoy, Carlos, Jonathan, Abel, Ailton, Junior, Lisha, and the rest of the kitchen staff. The food quality is fabulous, and the chef was always willing to help my group of 40 people with special diets and numerous allergies, creating delicious, nutritious, and carefully prepared menus. I also want to acknowledge the wonderful collaboration of the restaurant team, who provided impeccable service and were incredibly helpful, always with a smile. The entire group was delighted during their stay, and I want to thank all the staff for that. I would also like to highlight the kindness and patience of the reception staff, the excellent cleanliness of the hotel, and its fabulous location. Thank you very much!

Excellent location and comfort. Highly recommended! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. What I appreciated most was the cleanliness: the rooms were always clean, the beds were made, and the towels were changed daily. I slept very well thanks to the comfortable bed. The bathroom design is super functional for couples or friends; it has a separate toilet, shower, and sink, allowing two people to use it at the same time without getting in each other's way. The location is unbeatable. It's just one block from the tourist center, right where the blue Airport Express bus stops, which connects you to the airport. You can also walk to Larcomar, Kennedy Park, and Barranco. It's also a strategic point because most tour operators pick you up from here for their full-day excursions. Without a doubt, I made a great choice.

The "budget" in the name is heavily emphasized here. I understand, it's not a 5-star hotel, sure, but I felt a few things were missing in the rooms. We had booked a twin room, not a queen room, but when we arrived, there was only a double bed and some kind of bunk bed for a child (up to 50 kg). Why? You're not supposed to drink the tap water in Lima, but there weren't any reusable water bottles. There was only one table, no other storage space, and the room was really cramped. We had booked an extra night because we arrived at the airport at 3 a.m., but somehow they weren't prepared for us and seemed surprised by our arrival. The check-in process then took quite a while. Breakfast was okay, and they packed us some when we had to leave early one morning. They were also kind enough to store our backpacks when we spent a day at another hotel.

Recently had my 3rd stay here in the last 4 years. I don't think I'm going back. They've remodeled the lobby area to include a bar-like section that I never saw staffed. When a person was called over to serve me while I waited for the room to be prepared I allowed an impatient woman to order ahead of me (unfortunately she was a fellow USian so I was embarrassed by her pompousness. She felt she had exclusive claim to the term "American"). But when the server finally satisfied the needs of this high-maintenance person he just disappeared back into the closed restaurant section. Probably had all the USians he could stomach for one day. The real problem is the tiny room and awkward bedding. No top sheet, the only covering you have is a heavy blanket enclosed in a sheet like bag. The AC couldn't keep the room cool enough to use this so during the night you would kick off the blanket, then re-awaken to cover back up. I've decided there's probably better value options in the area. I'll find one on my next visit to Miraflores
