We loved our stay at the Great House! The staff we met were so kind and helpful, and the place itself is beautiful, quaint, and unique. Would absolutely stay there again!

Service personnel were GREAT. Close to many activities. Easy access to ground transportation too.

Digital Nomads Beyond 50 Network HIGHLIGHTS This is a lovely restoration of a home I used to walk by when I was a child; it was a pleasure to stay here with my daughter. Very helpful with transport and tour arrangements. INTERNET SPEEDS Generally Good, we didn't experience any noticeable interruptions during our 5-night stay. WHAT I LIKED Excellent location near city center, near nice restaurants, the local marina (to the cayes) and the cruise ship terminal where tender boats dock; the big ships stay out in the bay. Very clean with nice amenities, comfortable bed, and fresh fluffy white towels. The 'monkey on the vine' light features are a nice touch to the tasteful decor! GUEST TIPS Oddly, there are not enough hooks or rods to hang bath towels; also, although we were two in the room, housekeeping consistently only provided just one pool towel. However, they were quick to deliver extra upon request.

We had a lovely time at the Great House Inn! The history of the hotel is interesting, and it’s been recently upgraded that it feels like a boutique 5 star hotel. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, and the location was perfect for 3 days in Belize City. We were able to arrange all of our tours to pick us up at the hotel and were walking distance from many good restaurants as well as downtown. There’s also a pool for relaxing in the afternoon. Definitely would stay here again!

The rooms were very old and not very well-appointed. The bathroom was old and the shower didn't work. There was no place to have breakfast. The receptionist didn't know much.

We had a wonderfully relaxing time at the Great House. As long as there are no cruise ships in port, the location is extremely quiet. It is walking distance to many nice restaurants and parks. The staff were immensely helpful and engaging. The room was old world quaint but updated for modernity - a fantastic combination in my experience. For those that do not like the franchise grab of hotel accommodations and prefer a more personal touch: this is the place to stay in Belize City.

This place is awesome! Perfect location to get to the ferries, super nice staff, cute pool and breakfast, clean, and a little bit of quirky charm. Lots of gorgeous birds around. I read some reviews where it said it was loud and sketchy nearby and I disagree - when asked, the neighbors turned down their music right away and yes it’s an urban-island area so there’s youth activity at night but like… nothing to cry about. I will 100% be coming back here as my go-to port to the cayes. Felt inspired to right this after some lovely coffee and swim time while the local housekeeper and I Gary chatted about life and travel ☕️ 🌊 Thanks team!!!

It’s a very sketchy neighborhood and right now they have construction going on across the street so you will wake up early in the morning by listening to hammers and construction equipment. The rooms were old and outdated. The TV doesn’t work. It is not a recommended place to stay location is sketchy at night. It’s dangerous to walk around
