STI Testing for Gay, Bisexual and Other Men Who Have Sex With Men (GBMSM)

Safeworks Outreach Program in collaboration with Centre for Sexuality offers the following nursing services for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM), including cis, trans and other gender diverse folks.
Services include:

Testing for common sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBIs), including chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis A, B, & C, and HIV
Rapid or “point of care” testing for HIV and syphilis, providing results in about one minute, so you can know your status before you leave your appointment!
Treatment for common STBBIs including chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis
Hepatitis A, B and HPV vaccine program for eligible individuals
Free condoms and lube
Information and referrals for other services such as HIV PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis)

Services not included:

Physical assessments for skin conditions
Herpes testing
HPV/genital wart treatment

Same-Day PrEP and DoxyPEP with Freddie Express
We are excited to be partnering with Freddie Express to provide appointments for prEP and DoxyPEP. PrEP and DoxyPEP are two different medications that may help protect against STIs.

PrEP helps prevent HIV when taken as prescribed by a clinician.
DoxyPEP may help prevent bacterial STIs when taken within 72 hours after having sex without a condom.
