Spill the T – Drag: Beyond the Performance

Kirk Centre is partnered with Robertson-Wesley United Church and the Human Library to host a series of events called Spill the T. This series will consist of several events about 2SLGBTQIA+ topics and will promote education and connection with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in hopes of building more understanding and inclusive spaces around Edmonton. These events are free to attend and we have hired ASL interpreters to be at all of these events to ensure they are accessible and inclusive for everyone. 

Our first event is about the drag community and will take place on August 19th from 6pm to 8:30pm. We have an emcee and two presenters from the drag community who will spend the first part of the event introducing and discussing topics within the community. Then the event will shift towards the Human Library portion where the presenters and other representatives of the community will be at tables with topics that were brought up in the presentations. Then attendees will be able to visit these tables and get more direct insight and discussion with the presenters around these topics.
