I think places like this are very necessary but maybe should limit certain people from taking too much, to reduce the amount of paraphernalia litter.. otherwise everyone who works there is always very nice and inclusive!

If I could give Positive Health Network 10 stars, I would — and even that wouldn’t fully capture the depth of gratitude I feel for this organization. As someone who immigrated to Canada from the United States seven years ago, navigating life with an HIV diagnosis came with immense fear, vulnerability, and uncertainty. From the very beginning, the staff at Positive Health Network have stood by me through every chapter: every crisis, every breakthrough, every personal victory and setback. Their presence hasn’t just been professional — it’s been deeply human. They’ve consistently uplifted my wellbeing in ways that no other organization has ever come close to replicating. This is not your average AIDS service organization. Their level of dedication, cultural competence, and breadth of knowledge around community resources is truly unmatched in Hamilton. They don’t just support people with HIV — they actively champion and empower some of the most underserved and marginalized populations in the region: those struggling with addiction, African and Black communities, LGBTQ+ folks, women, newcomers. Their intersectional lens isn’t just theoretical; it’s baked into the very fabric of how they operate. Throughout the chaos and uncertainty of both the AIDS and COVID-19 pandemic, the Positive Health Network remained a steady, reliable force on the frontlines. While many services shuttered or pulled back, they showed up — consistently, compassionately, and without fail. Their unwavering commitment during this time helped preserve the humanitarian spirit of this city. This organization has been my safety net, my advocate, and at times, my only lifeline. The work they do is essential. They don’t just change lives — they save them. Hamilton is lucky to have them, and I am beyond thankful for their continued presence in mine.
