Stratford Motel

We rented this room, after pulling up to 98 Hotel and refusing to go in because of all the shady characters out front. This is fine and best of all it has a laundry on site so you can wash your clothes! And its own bathroom! I deducted a star because the fixturing is a bit scruffy, not bad, way better than camping in our van. Desk attendant was sweet and very helpful. Roomy kitchen with pots and pans and the noisiest but functional microwave. Walking distance to everything downtown. We would absolutely come back again.

good location 1 minute walk from main street which is the main attraction in downtown whitehorse, decent clean rooms, sound proofing between rooms not very great as is usual with these types of motels but all guests were respectful and quiet during nighttime hours. good value and good location!

It is an older place. This said the rooms are clean, staff is great, it is economical and a great location. I have been coming to town the last 4 years and I always stay here.

It’s basic shelter with beds and a shower. Furnishings are dated, and while everything seemed clean enough, there’s this smell… it’s not a cleaning product smell, it’s not Febreeze. The place just stinks. I stopped here on a trip two years ago, the rooms were stinky then as well. If it’s the only room left in town I’d maybe stay here again, but, I dunno… did I mention the smell??

Great service, got a ground floor room as requested. Staff friendly and accommodating when we weren't quite ready to leave at check out. They also found my shoes that I left behind by accident and set them aside labeled with my name and the date of stay. Water was nice and hot for shower/bath. Room is as expected, say 3.5; definitely dated but pretty clean and one of cheapest options downtown by far. Unfortunately smoke/weed from neighboring patron seeped in under the door often.
