Great place to stay
I really enjoyed staying here. They are not really accustomed to vegan cooking but they made it work. Shaunita at breakfast was fun and very helpful enabling me to try some of the local dishes.
The location is great. Close to many places worth seeing. We stayed in the Frou Frou room. What we missed was a fridge in the room; it was in the shared kitchen. The room is a bit dated, though. The room was next to a busy road where many honking trucks passed by. Dinner is at 6:00 PM, shared with the other guests at the same table. You have to like that. The ladies are very hospitable and cook exceptionally well.
Small hotel, suitable for independent travellers and backpackers, in a delightful location, near Trafalgar Falls. The rooms are a bit small for a double bed. The meals are excellent, with vegetarians well catered for. There is even a wine list, although it is limited. On weekends, an Italian lady (Rosanna, she is named after Scarlet O'Hara in Gone With the Wind) cooks individual pizzas with a variety of toppings. Breakfast is fresh fruit and omelettes. The bread is superb, crusty but light, almost as good as a French baguette. What I liked the most was the communal spirit and chat in the evenings, sharing stories with like minded people.
A true little slice of paradise in the heart of the jungle! The place is absolutely stunning, and its proximity to Roseau makes it very convenient. The staff is very friendly, and dinner and breakfast are excellent. A few drawbacks to note: the mosquito net isn't very effective, the automatic outdoor light often comes on during the night and disturbs sleep, there's road noise, the shower has very low water pressure, and there was a dead lizard under the bed. Despite these minor issues, our overall experience was very satisfying!
We had booked the Treehouse for 4 nights with our 2 children. We thought it was a fantastic stay. Sleeping, relaxing, and living right in the middle of the trees is a very special experience. The dinners and breakfast were really delicious! We ate there every day because it was so good.
An ideal location, with a beautiful natural setting. Breakfast is fantastic, and the pizza night is a real treat! The only slight drawback is the proximity to the road, where you can hear a few motorcycles the first night… but you get used to it very quickly, and it doesn't detract from the experience at all.
