Everything was perfect. It's comfortable, the place is very safe, it's close to several places to eat, the breakfast is very good too. In short, it meets your expectations and even exceeds them.

We stayed here for two nights to round off our holiday! Absolutely sufficient if you want to explore the city 👍🏻

Fine hostel for one night. Could have been a bit cleaner. The room is next to the reception, so it is very noisy.

I stayed at Tequila Sunrise two separate times during my last trip to Guatemala and had a great experience both times! The dorm beds offer a lot of privacy and each one has its own outlet, fan, and lamp. I accidentally double-booked my second stay and didn't realize until I was checking in. While they weren't able to cancel/refund the extra booking, the guy at the front desk upgraded me from the dorm to a private suite! After a long travel day, having a private suite was such a treat! Definitely will be staying there again next time I'm in Guatemala City!

Good rooms, affordable, quiet great free breakfast

I don't understand the good rating for this place. The private rooms are tiny shipping containers with cardboard walls where you can hear absolutely everything. From the guy next door snoring to the American kids (that's all there is) yelling in the courtyard until 3 a.m. There are no quiet hours. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable; the mattress feels like it's made of water because of how much it moves. The staff wasn't very friendly either. And the breakfast, after traveling all over the country for a month, was by far the worst I've ever had. The only good thing is that it's 10 minutes from the airport, but be prepared to hear every plane flying overhead. I'm sure that for what we paid, 40 euros a night, you can find something much better in this city.
