Vacationland Inn

This was the most disappointing hotel stay I’ve ever had. The room was extremely dirty, and while the sheets appeared clean at first, I am now covered in what appear to be bed bug bites. We paid an inflated rate because it was graduation weekend and other hotels were fully booked. Unfortunately, we also had a flat tire and had no choice but to stay overnight until we could get it repaired in the morning. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Still a tremendous value for a clean, spacious room. Staff is quite welcoming and helpful.

I would have probably gave this place a better star rating. However, I was forced to move my vehicle. Because apparently parking spots in front of rooms are reserved but not marked for the door that they are in front of. My biggest problem with this is myself being handicapped. They have no handicapped parking at this location. Which is required by law in the state of Maine. So they said, I had to move to a further spot away, because the parking spot I was in was in front of a long term guest room who was complaining about it. I think whether you're a long-term guest or a guest for one night you should be treated the same. If they would just take the time to maybe paint the room numbers onto parking spots and have the required amount of handicap parking spots, then, this sort of thing would not happen. Or at least say something when you're checking it. So if you are handicapped, I would not recommend staying here. After talking with management in the morning, they did not care about handicapped rights. This is the response from the owner that I received. "Response from the owner, thank you for vour review and feedback. We are looking into the handicap spaces. the rooms that have outside doors Have their own parking spots right in front of their door So quest cannot park in those spots. unfortunately that was one of the spaces you parked in. We have other parking spots that are close to the building. thank you for staying with us" so as anyone can see, they are not following state and federal laws. And once again, those spots are not labeled or mentioned when you check in. And under Maine and federal law, handicapped spots are supposed to be the closest spots to the entrance of the building. That is where I was parked. And if you look at the pictures, you can see that there is no marked parking. And the biggest problem no handicap parking.

My brother and I booked a room for March 25th Well we was there maybe 20 mins if that First TV wouldn't work 2nd the floor was stained draws were dirty we couldn't keep windows open as they said it was winter pipes could burst so asked for a fan and they brought us one and that was so dirty dusty very gross no ac the manager was very rude she wasn't going to give us the money back then she talked to her general manager and agreed to give us the money back For the owners maybe time to upgrade for your guests ?? And she was rude and you was there she didn't need to call you in Lol that place is dirty nasty 🤮 just gross

THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS!!! We walked in and the room was completely outdated with hair still all over the bath tub and bed bugs crawling all around. DO NOT STAY HERE

Check into the king suite room todiscover coffee maker doesn't work, ok things happen, go to let office know got the ok we will work on that but may not have any extras. Ok nope they didn't fix the coffee maker. Their walls are super thin and you can hear everything that happens in the next room and I mean everything. Seems there is no quiet time policy here or staff don't enforce it because a nice quiet romantic getaway turned into an all night awake until neighbors decide to be quiet so others can sleep. So tired and need coffee, have to go to office to find coffee and the desk staff who is to bothered by me asking a question because their cell phone is more important. Used to be a decent place to stay but since new ownership not so much. Definitely won't return and will be informing others of my experience.

Clean room, strong internet, friendly staff, good shower pressure, good breakfast, great coffee.

Room was fine and mostly clean. Sound traveled through the whole building, so we slept terribly. We were not told that there was reserved parking at check in and employee knocked on our door at 11pm telling us to move our car. It's overall kind of sketchy, I wouldn't feel comfortable staying here alone. If you can spare 20 extra dollars I'd stay elsewhere

This place was kind of gross. Dirty. Halls were peppered with debris, including a soiled towel that appeared in the hall and remained there for the last 2 days of my stay. There was what looked like mold throughout the bathtub and shower.All I could smell throughout my stay was cigarette smoke. Got woken up at 3am by an employee yelling and beating on my door because I had cracked my window a bit as the room was hot and there was no other means to cool down. “Pipes might burst.” It was 29° outside. Not likely pipes would have burst. It’s listed as a 2 star hotel. I’d say that is about 2.5 stars too high. I am honestly surprised I didn’t get bed bugs. The room was cheep, but I can’t help but feel I significantly overpaid.
