SpringHill Suites by Marriott Canton

There is nothing physically wrong with this Hotel. My issue is with the management team. Our room was cancelled with only an email being sent to my junk folder just hours before we headed up for our stay. No phone call, nothing. I do not check my junk email daily- especially when I had received an email two days prior into my main inbox telling me everything was ready for my stay. Apparently, there was an issue with our credit card - which had been compromised and therefore the room was cancelled. The woman at the front desk was kind enough to find us a room but with only one bed- which meant that someone in our party had to sleep on the couch. Management was unwilling to offer us even a slight discount for this inconvenience and for not being able to provide us the double queen room that we had booked. For this reason I suggest if you are in the area and looking for a hotel, I would look elsewhere. What ever happened to putting the customer first?

First time visit...felt the difference in atmosphere immediately by the color combinations furniture fixtures...then when we open the double with sofa room pleasure and surprise from immediate relaxation...the scent brought out a calming feeling..would recommend a long stay...so much in the area to enjoy...Bruntwood restaurant, NFL Pro football hall of fame, target, Macy's...much more...

Very accommodating hotel. Clean

The Springfield Marriott in Canton, Ohio is a very clean, very nice place to stay. The breakfast was great with a nice selection. The front desk staff were very friendly and professional.

Location was central to several eatery and convenience shops. Breakfast was routine, but the staff were great and available.

Whenever I stay anywhere, I normally choose a Springhill suites. This time I made the stupid mistake of staying next-door at courtyard. I decided to extend my trip and I moved to Springhill suites. It was the best decision I could’ve made! When I told the front desk that I was switching, she got me in within 10 minutes and told me I didn’t have to stay next-door anymore. Next time I come back to visit my sister this will be the hotel I stay at!

We recently stayed at this hotel after contacting several others in the area and being told there were no rooms available due to local events. We should've started with Springhill. Kim was so helpful and fun from the process of booking the reservation over the phone to check in. She was also very informative when it came to things to do and restaurants in the area that aligned with the budget. The room was beautiful, the pool is on the smaller side but still nice and the breakfast was also quite good with a larger selection than most places I've stayed in the past. This location is close to several restaurants, almost any store you could need and plenty of things to do.

Marriott you did. Your thing was very surprised. Wasn't disappointed in anything at all. Service well. Rooms clean 👍

Stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms … WOW! They are definitely focusing on the traveler! Small refrigerator with a freezer! Clean, quiet & comfortable. Bed was amazing!

Always first choice in Canton.

Been travelling the US staying in Marriott hotels for the past 6 weeks. Arrived at my 3rd last Marriott (Canton), the one that mattered the most as I was having eye surgery at Roholt vision Institute in North Canton the morning following my arrival. The Springhill suites were renovating and unfortunately the laundry was not accessible but with no pyjamas, no underwear and about to be out of action for the next 5 days, Sam organised for me to somehow get my laundry done behind the scenes. After completing the now familiar ritual of unpacking enough luggage to sink the Titanic, I then discovered the Wifi wasn’t working in my room and couldn’t be resolved so once again Sam handled this situation, organised an alternate room and even offered to help me pack all my things up and relocate. Every member of staff were great in my interactions but for me Sam was the standout. “Stuff” always goes wrong but the strength of a great hotel is the staff and their ability to manage the hurdles. I’ve now completed my 42 consecutive nights staying at Marriott hotels throughout the US and rate Springhill Suites North Canton the highest on the scorecard. Location was central to my needs, newly renovated rooms, cleanliness, the staff and finally Sam. Thanks Sam for all your help during my stay.
