Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Midtown

The staff was amazing. Room was nice and everything was clean. Bed was fine. Walla were thin though- and this is the ONLY Marriot I’ve ever stated in without breakfast included, could t believe it. Not a deal breaker because there are fabulous places to go- just surprised.

It was a great stay and all the staff I encountered were so very pleasant!

Rude front desk agent, noisy rooms with no sound proofing (could hear neighboring rooms and construction outside clearly), and expensive parking. First impression was bad, we got to the front desk and when we told the woman the name the room was under (my father’s) she snapped back “well are your names on the room?” We explained he had made the reservation and she was shaking her head and making a sour face the whole time we were explaining. So my mother calls my dad, while she starts to bring up the reservation details. I ask her “ok where do we go from here then?” So we can get it resolved and she’s still being snarky, telling me to “calm down ma’am” even though I didn’t raise my voice at all and was simply asking what we can do to resolve this. Then as soon as she sees the reservation details and that we’re members, her tone and demeanor changes COMPLETELY and she was overly overly nice and chatting us up with a huge smile. It was wild to see her change so quickly. If we had booked through a third party or something, I’m sure she would have kept up her snarky attitude. Also suddenly our names not being on the room wasn’t a problem at all and we didn’t have to do anything extra to resolve the issue. It gave us a very weird and negative first impression of the hotel. We then couldn’t fall asleep because it was so loud and we could clearly hear our neighbors conversation all night. Definitely do not recommend this hotel.

What a terrible place. They should take down the hot tub photo, because they don't actually have a functional hot tub and I am likely looking into false advertising and legal advice if they do not refund my room for this reason and more. They're are not providing the services they claim and beyond that the staff -- who was seemingly nice to my wife 30 minutes earlier -- said they would not put us near an ice machine. Well... they did anyway, but I guess it's "fine" because it doesn't work. Not that that will stop anyone from trying, so now my late evening that has gone horribly is continuing to be awful. To be honest, I thought I was speaking to a different person after my wife checked in, but now she's confused about being lied to. What I'm saying, moreover, is that when I went to complain that I would never have booked this hotel had I known the hot tub was not an actual amenity but also the mini fridge is broken in my room. And an additional broken USB slot in room 208. When I began to explain this, the staff seemed to be "apologetic" about my crap evening, but then didn't want to listen to me & claimed that they don't work mornings, which is fine, but we just booked and entered the hotel. She was the person apologizing to my wife for company failures but also making more false promises. Comparatively, I guess I was an inconvenience for them. Why is this person nice to my wife and not me? Regardless, I will never stay here again and I sure as hell will not be paying for this garbage hotel. I'm unsure how I will be doing that, but they are not swindling me more than they already have. If I could give a negative five star review, it would be more appropriate and thanks for making my horrible night worse. It's nearly 11 and I am still too upset to sleep, but I need to be up early and so I will deal with this trash establishment, through higher channels, tomorrow. Do yourself a favor and don't book a room here. I can book any other hotel near here and I'm very sorry I did not. Thanks for nothing and I hope you improve so others might eventually enjoy this half-assed establishment.

The sink would not drain when you are washing your face. Opened a case with Marriott, when called to check on the case they said it state that the manager had called me that never happened. Do stay here you have to pay for parking also.
