This Home2Suites in Durham was a nice and convenient pitstop for us on our trip back to Charlotte. We booked a room a few hours before arriving, and thankfully they had quite a few rooms available for the night. There was a bit of a snag during check-in, but it wasn’t too bad. Our suite was spacious and clean. We appreciated the mini kitchen(and the kitchen items) attached to the suite, which we might’ve used if we had stayed longer. The bathroom was spanking clean too. It seemed like a new property that had been well-maintained. The breakfast in the morning was better(and tasted great too) than the basics served at other similar hotels. Parking outside was readily available, and was free. Overall it was a 10/10 stay, and we recommend it if you’re in the area, all the more so if you need a place to stay near Duke University.

Hotel is a great place to stay but parking here is risky. My truck and 16 other vehicles were broken into and vandalized some of my personal items were stolen. One of the guests here told me there truck was broken into for a second time and lost valuable things and this has been going on for 3 years. This I did not know but people should be warned. Im out of 1000 dollars on a insurance claim for my windows and no reimbursement has hit my account or to pay me my money back for the broken windows. For what you pay for parking and the cost to stay here I expect better security especially if this nonsense has been going on this long.

Gwen who drives the shuttle is great!!! She’s very personal and professional and a very careful driver that always gets us to our doctors appointments at Duke safely. The only thing I will say negative about this stay August 2nd until the 4th is there was alot of break ins to vehicles busting out windows (mainly trucks) to steal things. It had happened multiple times in the past week or two and I was surprised to not see a more police presence. Front desk personnel great as always, great breakfast and breakfast workers and cleaners.

DO NOT GO THERE THEY HAVE HAD SEVERAL BREAK INS AND STILL DONT NOTICE INCOMING GUESTS OF THE BREAK INS THEN HIDE WHEN EVERYONES ASKING QUESTIONS STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL
