Hotel Daphne

Staff are incredible. Especially Demi!! Ask for her if you go to the restaurant. They are so kind and empathetic. MY TASK TRAINED SERVICE DOG was in the hallway as i was asking a gracious staff member how to turn the lights on… then a karen called the front desk to complain about my 10 pound shitzu being out for 10 seconds. The staff did their job… they respected her complaint and talked to me about it. I think that person is ridiculous but i love how the staff did their job. I will 100% stay here again. The accommodations are adorable but the employees are the reason why.

Shocking to find a hotel these days without a fitness center. Was forced to walk over a mile and buy a day pass at a Planet Fitness. Did not check before I made my reservation, as I just expected there to be a FC. Hotel and rooms were nice, but the lack of a FC takes this off my list of places to return, even though I will be in the Heights quite a bit over the next year.

Avoid this property at all costs. Due to weather flight disruptions, I emailed to request a future stay credit regarding their 24-hour window. Instead of replying, the hotel's system unilaterally cancelled my reservation at 9:41 AM without my consent—clearly rushing to get the room back into their inventory to double-book it. Because they unilaterally terminated my booking, I was forced to immediately lock in alternative arrangements elsewhere. Nearly seven hours later, the General Manager (Payton O'Brain) finally replied, rigidly stating I would still be charged the full cancellation fee. When called out, the GM fabricated a "phone call" that never happened (our entire interaction was over email) and offered to reinstate the room hours after I had already paid for a different hotel. This is an incredibly deceptive and predatory way to treat travelers, especially for a brand-new hotel trying to build a reputation. They will cancel your room without your permission, lock you out, and still aggressively hunt your credit card for a fee. I am officially disputing this unauthorized charge with my credit card issuer as fraud. Book elsewhere.

It's the cutest little boutique hotel located in the Houston Heights neighborhood. The hotel smell very clean to be pet friendly and room service was great. They have happy hour from 3-5 everyday with great food and drinks at the Hypsi.

First time staying here, and a great experience. Brand new hotel in the Heights. There aren't any good hotels in the area so we usually stay by the Galleria. No more! Great service and room was suprisingly quiet. Really glad to have this as our go-to hotel.

Great little boutique hotel in the Heights. We opted for the king bed premiere room. I have to say that the shower was perhaps the best hotel shower I have seen in years. It was plenty wide so that we didn't have to worry about hitting our elbows, the shower head was high to I didn't have to stoop down, and the water pressure was great!

Beautiful boutique hotel with a great aesthetic, very clean rooms, and genuinely impressive architecture/design. The overall vibe of the property was excellent and felt curated and luxurious. Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel restaurant completely ruined the morning for us. The brunch food quality was extremely disappointing, and both of us genuinely felt sick afterward. On top of that, the restaurant service was chaotic, inattentive, and far below the level you would expect from a hotel with this kind of positioning and atmosphere. It honestly felt like two completely different experiences: - The hotel itself: stylish, polished, memorable. - The restaurant: poor execution and very disappointing. I would absolutely stay at the hotel again for the rooms and ambiance, but I would avoid the brunch restaurant entirely unless major improvements are made.

Hotel Daphne is wonderful! The hotel is immaculately clean and such a beautiful place to stay. The staff were all so incredibly helpful and kind, but I have to especially shout-out Susan from housekeeping! This was our first overnight trip with our 3-month-old baby and at 9:30 PM he had a diaper blow-out on the bed while we were setting up his pack-and-play. We called the front-desk to explain the situation and they were so kind and understanding. Susan arrived shortly thereafter and provided us fresh linens and stayed to remake the bed, assuring me that all was fine and she understood the joys and mishaps of parenthood. I felt terrible that I let this happen, but she was so kind and understanding and assured us that our comfort was her priority. She is an exceptional lady and her management team is so fortunate to have her! Traveling with an infant is difficult but the staff at Hotel Daphne made our experience so enjoyable. Also the beds are 10/10! We slept GREAT!
