White Doe Inn

Exactly what we hoped for in an inn My wife and I prefer inns to hotels, and the White Doe Inn did not disappoint. It's on a quiet street, yet just minutes from restaurants and entertainment. Dave and Tonia were wonderful hosts. We loved the afternoon wine and treats, which were a great way to meet the other guests. I wish more inns did this. And don't forget the homemade ice cream sandwiches in the freezer. Delicious!

We had a fantastic stay at the White Doe Inn. The inn is beautiful and charming. Tonia and Dave are excellent hosts. Their hospitality is top notch. The food was exceptional. We are gluten free and they were able to accommodate us. Tonia’s gluten free food is out of this world and some of the best we have had. The inn is very clean and located close to historic downtown. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. Thank you Tonia and Dave for amazing food and an amazing stay.

The White Doe Inn is such a lovely spot! The owners, who are super sweet and friendly, have thought of every detail to make everyone's stay superb. Check-in and check-out are remarkably easy. The house itself is very elegant and in a terrific location -- quiet and yet also close to everything. The linens and furnishings are sumptuous -- very comfortable. And finally, the food is world-class. I look forward to returning.

This place is amazing! Tonia and Dave make you feel at home with a delicious breakfast, happy hour treats, and a variety of other goodies. The vibe is relaxed and feels like family. Fire pits, bikes, corn hole, and ladder ball are available for use. It serves as a beautiful backdrop for a wedding as well. They do the whole thing for you and make it stress free! I will be back!

This was our first stay at the White Doe Inn and hopefully not our last! From the warm welcome at check in to the fantastic breakfast the next morning, our overnight stay couldn't have been better!

My wife and I stayed at the White Doe Inn for a 2-night weekend getaway — we had a wonderful experience! Dave and Tonia are very hospitable and took great care of us with a level of service that is hard to find these days. From the personalized communication, to clean well-appointed rooms, to a delightful fresh breakfast each morning, this place is a gem. The Turret Room was lovely, with a large balcony overlooking the street. The amenities were fantastic, including beach chairs, daily happy hour, bikes, and homemade ice cream sandwiches. Any trip that brings us back to Manteo, we will stay again. Exceeded our expectations!

The White Doe Inn delivered a fantastic experience in their beautiful space. The hosts and staff are warm and welcoming, and the accommodations are clean, thoughtfully appointed and comfortable. Easy parking and check in made the transition to vacation mode fast which I appreciated after being in the car for a while. Inside I felt right at home once I got the tour from Tonia upon arrival. My room was quiet, spacious and peaceful. The breakfast, happy hour goodies and "anytime" snacks and coffee are all delicious and included in the room charge. I usually opt for a larger hotel when I travel but I am so pleased I chose the White Doe Inn for my recent visit to Manteo. I look forward to my next visit!

We had such a wonderful experience at the White Doe Inn! The property is absolutely beautiful, full of charm, and even more special in person. Tonia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful, and took the time to answer all of our questions and make us feel completely at home. The rooms are beautiful and you can tell how much care goes into every detail. It's also in a great location. We loved it so much that we are now planning to have our wedding there! Five stars!

We had a fantastic stay here. The Inn is gorgeous, the gardens are beautifully maintained and the owners and staff are gracious in every way. We will be back! We slept in the most beautiful ( ROMANTIC) bed I’ve ever seen.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for a short getaway primarily to see the Lost Colony Play. The White Doe Inn is in a very convenient location for the play, and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. You can walk, drive or borrow one of their bikes to downtown Manteo for some great restaurants or just walk the boardwalk along the waterfront. Happy hour each day was a nice touch with wine and cheese and a great way to meet your fellow guests. The breakfast each day was also very good and not just you regular bacon and eggs. Our room was very nice and the king size bed was very comfortable. Our room had a separate small TV room in case one wants to sleep and the other wants to watch TV. Our room had a big clawfoot tub with vintage exposed pipes. Pretty cool to look at but If you have mobility issues you may want to ask if other rooms have a different setup. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends.

Great experience all around! No complaints. Best of the OBX! From the hosts, to the accomodations, to the location, the service, and all the little unexpected extras (i.e. fresh baked cookies daily, coffee/espresso/tea bar, happy hour at 4:30 , frig in room with option to order wine, litlle balcony off of bedroom area, not to mention the delicious breakfasts every morning prepared by culinary chef/owner Tonia, just a stellar experience! If you go to the OBX, this is the place to stay❤️❤️❤️Definitely coming back!
