Chelsea Pines Inn

We stayed at the Chelsea Pines Inn for two nights on a girls trip to NYC. Susanna, the manager, was so welcoming and inviting when we first arrived and made our check in process so easy after touching down from a long day of travel. The room could be quite warm even at night, so the box fan provided may be necessary, depending on time of year. The location was great for getting around on the subway and had plenty of cute restaurants and shops to explore surrounding the hotel. Would definitely book again!! Thanks to the lovely staff and housekeepers.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chelsea Pines Inn - while the rooms are simple and quaint, they are very clean and comfortable. The location is AMAZING - it’s less than a 60 second walk to the Subway (on the same block) and surrounded by tons of restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores and businesses, making it an amazing location. The staff was STELLAR, from the day we got in to the day we checked out, we were so impressed with the care and attention from each staff member we encountered. Special shoutout to Donny who really took excellent care of my wife and I on several occasions. Thank you to the whole staff for really shining and making us feel so comfortable and taken care of each step of the way - we will absolutely be back!

0 STARS IF I COULD. THESE GUYS ARE PROFESSIONAL THIEVES….I booked a 2 night stay and I paid for the trip in full on Expedia and when I got to the hotel I gave them a $150 deposit which I was supposed to be refunded after checking out. The $150 deposit was for any damages I cause on the property and if I left the room dirty during my stay. When I checked in the room the window was cracked and there were damages to the table so I recorded the damages and show the guy at the front desk, his name was James and he assured me I would not be charged for those because they were already there. During my stay I did not cause any damage at all anywhere on the property and when checking out I took all my garbage with me and make sure the room was clean and organized. When I checked out the lady at the front desk said I would receive my $150 refund in 2-3 days…..it’s been 2 weeks and I have not received my refund, I called the inn and they told me there is no transaction in their system so they can not refund me and the bank said the transaction was completed and the inn would have to refund me which they refused to do and they are not telling me why I’m not receiving a refund. I did not cause any damages to the room and I left the room clean.

I hesitate to rate this place 5 stars only because I selfishly want to gate keep this amazing little inn. The staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and communicative. I stayed here for over two weeks while in between apartment sublets and working in the neighborhood. The location is phenomenal, right next to 14th/8th subway and in the heart of Chelsea / West Village. I had the quadruple room with two double beds. The beds were so comfortable and the walls around my room were thick and protected, I have never gotten better sleep anywhere in a NYC hotel than this one. Shoutout to James, Dwayne, Jose and the manager Susanna for their continued positive assistance and care.

I very rarely leave reviews of a business and this is my first negative review but I feel that I have to do this. This is a heartless hotel. I am sure it is nice, but in our time of need we tried to book a room and made a mistake with the dates during the height of the nor'easter. We were in great need and this hotel was unable to help us. That is understandable, but then they have refused to refund us the money for the room we mistakenly booked. They knew what we were going through and still decided to be greedy and keep our money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR MONEY.

Perfect cheap Hotel for staying in New York. Metro Station is right around the corner and Chelsea Market is really close for great food

A lovely stay where the service truly stood out as a high point. The rooms and location were also quite good and met all my needs for a standard 4-star visit.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was super nice. The rooms were very clean. I loved the use of the kitchen and the courtyard. The beds were extremely comfortable. I slept like a baby. And the location was ideal. Close to Racket NYC and we had our pick of places to eat. Will definitely be returning.
