Restaurant was nice
Our stay at Hotel Chelsea was absolutely fabulous. This iconic hotel, originally built in the late1800s, has been beautifully restored and updated while preserving its historic charm and character. The staff was outstanding—friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, making it a pleasure to return to after a day of exploring New York City. One of the most unique and memorable aspects of the hotel is its incredible collection of artwork. Every floor is lined with fascinating pieces, making it feel as though you're strolling through an art gallery. We found ourselves stopping frequently to admire the artwork, which adds tremendously to the hotel's character and creative spirit. The location is excellent, with easy access to so many of the city's attractions, restaurants, and neighborhoods. We also loved the bar, which has a wonderful atmosphere and was one of the highlights of our visit. Hotel Chelsea perfectly combines history, art, elegance, comfort, and exceptional service. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York City.
The hotel Chelsea is the most gorgeous hotel in NYC, with the most incredible staff (thanks Judianne)!!!! So welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. Every single moment of our stay was enjoyable, from the beautiful hotel bar, brand new Japanese restaurant Teruko in the cellar with SUPERB service (Zack was the best!), and especially the room! We stayed in the premier Chelsea- the bathroom was enormous, with a bathtub, there was lots of sunlight coming in through the gorgeous balcony windows during the day, there were plenty of snacks and liquor at the personal bar, and books explaining the rich history of the building! I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting New York!
Beautiful, interesting, non-corporate hotel. Rooms are artfully decorated. And there are lots of endlessly delightful little nooks and rooms to explore throughout the property. The concierge provides a tour of the hotel's impressive art collection upon request. The rooms are stunning. You're a quick Uber from anything in lower Manhattan. My only gripe is with the toiletries, which don't match everything else in quality. The soap strips your skin once you manage to rinse it off (which is a whole task); the lotion doesn't really moisturize but rather feels like a filmy surface layer. Shampoo/ conditioner have similar quality issues, drying out your hair, and the towels are coarse. But other than the bath amenities, this place is amazing and still gets 5 stars from me! A quintessential spot for those who would like to bask in beautiful art adorning the walls and charming, elevated yet super comfortable Parisian decor.
Really nice older hotel that manages to keep the historical aspect while still being well maintained, clean and a ton of small details.
