Bacchus has been a staple of the LGBTQIA+ community for many years. It was recently sold and upgraded with better interior and sound. I love that this bar genuinely feels like a community hub for socializing. There’s a lovely balcony outside where you can have talk with your friends and people watch. On weekends there’s a DJ and the place can get crowded (especially on First Saturdays for their underwear night). The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists. Everyone is very friendly and you will definitely have new buddies by the end of the night. Staff is friendly and generous with their pours (they call it a gay pour for a reason!). Selection of alcohol is good but I never order anything too complicated. Highly recommend!

I just needed a drink and this place was a few hundred yards from where I was staying. Super friendly bartenders, super friendly clientele. Drinks were cheaper than most other places around. Made this old straight guy feel right at home.

Will ever go back there Where they don’t treat their clients with respect! You may get kicked out for whatever reason without a reasons ! Avoid this place at all cause ! Enjoy you night another gay Venus in Waikiki !

A really wonderful gay bar in the heart of Waikiki. It’s a local haunt, but welcoming to visitors. They have trivia on Wednesdays which is super fun. The prices are affordable, and love the outdoor lanai with seats to watch the sunset, or watch the moon rise.

Loved it here! Visiting from Cali the bartender was so sweet!! He took care of us the whole night. He made us feel seen and safe! Honestly will come back! The music and drinks were amazing!!

Had a few drinks here and had a good time.

We were on vacation and visited this place. It's small, the people are drunk, and the music isn't the best, especially considering Hawaii is such a tourist destination. Oh, and be very careful with the closing time listed on Google as 2:00 am, but it was actually 1:30 am. They don't tell you anything, but they sell you your drink two minutes before closing time. Then, when you want to finish your drink, they tell you no, that you can only stay outside, but they take your drink away with zero professionalism or courtesy (I think it was the owner who was called by the waiters). I wouldn't go back to a place like this. One of the worst places I've ever been on vacation.

Don't know where some of these other people went, but couldn't have been the same place. We went on a weekday afternoon, not many people. Despite that, the bartender only talked to us when he noticed an empty glass. From everything we observed locals were greeted warmly and engaged in conversation, but they need to up their people skills for visitors. Drinks were average at best.

ATMOSPHERE: Located on the second floor of a free standing building, you're greeted by a sliver of a balcony which is great for hanging out and people-watching on Lewers St, and alcohol is allowed there. The inside is small and thankfully air conditioned, with a cool open beam ceiling & decor that reminds me of a country bar. The bar takes up almost half the room. There's really no dance floor space. The DJ booth is at the back and the go-go dancer has a tiny perch to dance from off to the side. At the front are a few high tops and chairs. THE CROWD: A bit younger but a good mix. Very chill and no obnoxious attitudes. Music was good (dance/house/techno) and not absurdly loud. SERVICE: The bartenders work slow but they were cool & friendly. OVERALL: Nice place that offers both a comfortable inside and outdoor setting, with decent prices.

Love this place so much! All of the bartenders here are amazing and treat you like family. The prices are great and I’ve met so many amazing people here! Make sure to stop here if you’re in Waikiki.
