Arka is such a cute place to stay! It takes you back in time in a clean, updated way!
Was just passing through and needed a clean, moderately priced, pet friendly place to stay. We came in late on a Monday night so we didn't use any amenities outside our room like the pool or the two fire pits surrounded by Adirondack chairs with readily available firewood and string lights. I can't give the location much of a score as we were passing through and feel it's purpose is to cater to the destination rather than a passerby. It is an area that appealed to my sense of exploration though. Check in and out was a breeze and contactless. The room was cool and clean with a quiet ac and a big tv. It was spacious with a mini fridge, microwave, mini keruig and wetbar sink. They've made great effort to make a cinderblock motel as charming as one can. They offer a 5% military/veterans discount. One recommendation to the owners would be to add curtains to the sides of the windows to block the outside lights from creeping in.
This was a clean and easy access place to stay and also very quiet. It also looked like a safe area and not crowded. I would highly recommend it if you’re not looking for something fancy but just a very nice place to stay for a while.
We traveled from Washington State for a wedding and stayed at the Arka. It is a quaint fully renovated motel with a nice pool and clean rooms. The contactless check in is very convenient. I would stay here again!
