Hampton Inn by Hilton Santa Clarita-Valencia

I travel a lot for work so I stay in a lot of hotels. The staff at the property is the absolute best! Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Chris, Julian and Alex have been especially wonderful and attentive! The views are amazing as well! I highly recommend this property to all travelers solo, couples and family. Pets are also welcome.

Julian, the manager, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I booked this hotel online and called simply to confirm my reservation, only to find out he had canceled it without my authorization and without issuing a refund. At no point did anyone properly verify who was requesting changes to the reservation. Beyond the terrible management, the property itself was filthy. The entire hotel had a strong smell of dog urine and feces, and the cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had with any hotel. I would strongly caution anyone before booking here.

I wasn’t very impressed with this location during my stay. I called ahead and asked if I could check in early and they said it was fine. I get checked in, but the key I was given did not work for the room I was told I’d be in. I had to go back to the front desk and was told they made a mistake and my room was the one next door to what they originally told me. I go back up to the new room and it wasn’t clean. I have to go back down again to get another room assignment. I get another room and am finally able to get in and put my luggage down. The bed was hard, but not so horrible that I couldn’t sleep. I also found a long hair on one of the towels, but thankfully there was another I could use. The breakfast was good and had a decent amount of options. I was offered a free drink and/or snack from their little snack bar for the inconvenience with the multiple room swaps, but I didn’t want anything at that moment as I had just had lunch.

This is one of my all-time favorite hotels and definitely one of the nicest hotel in Santa Clarita. I accidentally clicked the ADA-room when making my reservation and was shocked at the size (enormous). Very comfortable room and the window faced Magic Mountain. If you're staying here with kids, ask for a room facing the amusement park. The second time I stayed at this hotel, I was in a standard double room which was significantly smaller, but still very comfortable. There's a full big breakfast here serving eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, breakfast tacos, lots of fruit and a large assortment of muffins, etc. The breakfast room is actually a large event space with tall windows and long tables which includes one of those jumbo sized television sets. Off to the side of the breakfast area is a rolling bar with beer taps so you can turn the place into a bar for a special event. In the back of the building, there are two fire pits on the patio, tons of outdoor lounging couches with heat lamps, an AstroTurf area for those wooden bean bag tossing games, a swimming pool and a super sized bbq grill. The hotel was housing a construction crew from the Carolinas & Florida during my stay. The group held a few social gatherings in the evenings, which allowed them to utilize the patio space quite nicely. Each room has a fridge and microwave. The electrical outlets are also designed to plug in USB cords for charging. This hotel is not within walking distance of anything other than an assisted living center next door. It was built along the side of Newhall Ranch road where there is nothing but land. Magic Mountain isn't very far from this hotel, but you can't walk it. You'll need a car to stay here. Down the road is a strip mall with a grocery store (Smart and Final), a Dollar Tree and the Walmart Supercenter of Valencia. I think the security deposit for this hotel was $100. There are two hotels built within this structure, Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites. The prices at this location vary greatly so there's no standard rate. It appears they price it based on seasonal crowds or occupancy. The lowest I've paid was $99 per night, but I've seen it listed at $160-$180 and every price in between. There's another Hampton Inn in Santa Clarita near Stevenson Ranch which is very comfortable, but this location is the better one. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I never wanted to leave because this hotel was so comfortable.

Avoid this place if you wish to sleep. On arrival I went to the room the hallway to the room stunk of dope, I informed front desk and there solution was spray some air freshener, if you ever smell that disgusting stuff you know that air freshener doesn’t work . If you do stay don’t let them put you in a room that faces the main road, get a top floor as you will be able to hear the people above walking around. No internet connection but they do advertise high speed. Joke . Don’t waste your time with management went twice but wissel was far to busy to be bothered with a paying customer, a bit like the staff saying we have a no smoking policy she has a policy of ignoring customers yet another poor example of management cannot be bothered. Do yourselves a favour embassy suites by Hilton are just 2mins down the road.

We stayed at the Hampton in Thursday - Sunday. Our experience was for the most part really great. The only thing we didn’t care for was the bed. It was insanely stiff and hard to sleep on. But that’s just a preference for us, some people like that. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The staff that I engaged with was very friendly. They would even say hello when passing in the hall. Front desk was very kind. The breakfast was great! A full on breakfast. Eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes… there were tacos on the weekend so you could make little breakfast tacos. Waffles, fruit. Such a wide selection. Overall we had a nice stay. We would stay here again if we decide to ever come back to this area.
