Hotel Ramada

Stayed in room 449 with a lot of black mold in the window, found it after waking up. Had to take a service elevator up to the room since they're modernizing the building. The room is very dated and doesnt line up to the reviews on their website. The new construction is nice thats the lobby area, every where else is old.

This is our third stay here in three years. We attended a conference there each year. Each time something was broken, or short handed, or things were dirty. Last year the elevator to the tower was inop. causing 400 people to use the freight elevator which got overloaded. This year, our room was dirty in the bathroom. Mud in the sink. Toilet that screemed a high pitch noise when flushing, coffee grounds in the maker, ditry rings of some sort on a wall, a one foot tear in the drapes, no heater!,( The desk did supply a portable heater), STILL NO ELEVATOR. A service man to check the heater came and turned it up to 80 and said it would take some time to warm up the heater. After an hour of cold air venting I went to the desk and they got me a portable heater. One thin blanket on the bed and a king size sheet hanging off both sides about a foot. Had to get another good blanket from the desk. No ice machine available. Had an ice bucket though. To say I am dissappointed is an understatement. We have used Ramada Inn's on and off for years. Used to be quality hotels. Now, we have decided we will not stay at this Topeks hotel again. We will stay in other hotel and make the trips over a three day weekend to the conference. At the conference, the overhead speakers do not work. 400 people cannot hear two floor mounted speakers in front. My wife said her meeting room never got the large trash can emptied in spite of telling the desk it was running over. After three days, there was paper and food all over the floor by the door. Made a real good impression of the hotel.

Do not stay at this place. It's like it has been forgotten about. Multiple leaks and it smells like water damage. Mold on the Sheetrock in the laundry room. Missing panels and they just laid sheetrock against it with screws on the floor for any child to get ahold of. The exercise room was a joke. The awning outside the check in was falling in and leaking. The elevators for the Noth tower did not work, you have to use the service elevator (I heard a guy say it has been like that for 3 years!!!!) The breakfast was great as well as the room. The bed was comfy and bathroom was also clean. See my pics for proof.

Dated hotel. Questionable elevator quality. Possible camera in rooms. Besides that, excellent service and beautiful hotel.

Entire property needs a renovation ASAP. Worn out, tired, you name it. Staff was very nice and appear to be trying their best.

Cold water only in the shower..toilet ran all the time..elevators not working..overall..very run down hotel

Do not stay here they have bed bugs and don’t give you your money back when you don’t want to stay the night with bugs

This place has gone downhill. First, they only had 1 of our 2 rooms available. Then instead of $67 they were $99. Then when we got to our rooms, the tvs weren't plugged in. There wasnt a table sonthe lamp was just on the floor and no chairs in one room. There is mold on the AC vent. The carpet is sticky. The beds are like hospital beds. Thr AC took for ever too cool the room. The room phones dont work. The hot tub doesn't function and the pool is cloudy. There were no new towels on the second day. Just the old wet ones from the day before. The elevators are dank and musty. One key card from each room didnt work and the staff member seemed irritated that we needed them fixed. The breakfast was the only redeeming quality. If there are any open rooms anywhere else, I would recommend them before here. Or sleep in your car and come in for breakfast in the morning since they don't even check if you stayed or not.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! I gave this trash hole the benefit of the doubt. This is absolutely not a 3 star hotel. It’s old! Run down!!! The elevator is TERRRIFYING! They actually have a sign that basically says don’t move, or it will break down!!! It was 80 degrees in our room the entire weekend! There is no ac! In any room! Our other team family that stayed left because they had the same issue! We weren’t as smart as them. All the reviews they respond on they claim they are doing renovations! It’s a complete lie. There isn’t a single “renovation” happening. I’ve honestly never been so displeased. You can not charge people to stay in 80 degree conditions!!! The entire hotel smells like mold and smoke. I could go on for hours of complaints. If you consider this place, don’t!!!!! Run!!!!!!

This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The hallways smell musty, and the carpet is stained and worn. The rooms are nice enough, but need updating. Breakfast and service was very good.
