Stay here if you like rude people and terrible service and worst of all bad locations.

Just want to say a huge thank you especially to Ms April for helping my elderly parents get a room and being so very nice to them! I will recommend them all day long!!!

This place was disgusting. First room was filthy, so I switched—and the second one was just as bad. Floors were sticky like they hadn’t been cleaned at all. Fridge, stove, microwave, and sink were all dirty. Bathroom had mold. It honestly felt like nothing had been properly cleaned in a long time. Never ever again.

I had a very serious issue during my stay at Red Roof PLUS+ Tuscaloosa - University that management failed to address. There is an active rodent problem in the rooms. On multiple occasions, rats got into my groceries and contaminated my food. I had to throw away items more than once because of this. I reported the issue to the front desk several times. Each time, I was told there was nothing they could do and that I needed to speak to a manager. No one took responsibility, and no solution was offered. The problem continued throughout my stay. This is not just an inconvenience—it’s a health and sanitation issue. Having rodents in a hotel room and staff refusing to act is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here until this issue is properly addressed.

We booked this hotel via a third party app and it seemed decent. When we arrived it was somewhat secluded facing a Sleep Inn that appeared a little creepy. The lobby had an odor of cigarettes and a moldy smell. We were in town for a sports event and all of the other hotels were either sold out or appeared unsafe for a family with children. The room was humid. The bedding was not clean. There were red and brown stains splattered all over the shower curtain, bathroom walls and bathroom door. There were traces of hair in the corners of the bathroom and on the sink. The laminate floors were sticky and the rug has not been cleaned. We asked for a different room but the rooms we were shown weren’t any better. The receptionist said the housekeeper would clean the room while we were gone. She tried I guess, bless her heart. I went to walmart and bought a shower curtain, cleaned the bathroom and floor. Black mildew on the faucet. I also bought bedding for us and put their bedding on the floor by the door until we checked out. Lots of truckers in and out, loud noises in the hall most of the night. We were concerned about our car overnight but no problems occurred involving our safety.

It's a good place to stay for the price. The rooms are clean, the beds are super comfortable, and they have a pretty decent free breakfast. The location is convenient to Walmart, restaurants, the university...
