Gay Mens Chorus of Washington

The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington is one of the longest-running LGBTQ+ choruses in the United States, founded in 1981. It performs a full concert season in Washington DC each year, usually at venues such as the Lincoln Theatre and the Kennedy Center, and appears at Capital Pride and community events. Alongside the main chorus it runs smaller ensembles and the GenOUT youth chorus. The S Street address near U Street is an office, open on weekdays, not a performance venue. For visitors, the useful step is checking the season calendar on the website and booking tickets ahead; holiday shows tend to sell out. It is a straightforward way to see Washington's LGBTQ+ community on stage.
